Obama: The Surge “Succeeded Beyond Our Wildest Dreams”

Remember how we all stated and argued that “The Surge” wasn’t a success like Cheney and Bush and Bill-O all said? Remember how we took pains to research and expose the doctored numbers and changed requirements that the Bush Administration used to prove ”The Surge” worked? Remember that part of the “Anbar Awakening” stategy was to hand over Anbar (and monthly paychecks) to the same Sunni Militia forces that had been killing American soldiers - then turn a blind eye as they started the ethnic cleansing of the Shites out of the area? Remember all those walls being built to section off all of Baghdad, one neighborhood from the other, then staff all those check-point with our US Soldiers, effectively turning them into prison guards (or the IDF)? And do you remember Gen. Betrayus? Do you remember how he was going to present his “report” (the one really written by the White House) on how successful “The Surge” had been?

Do you remember all of that?

The surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated,”…”…succeeded beyond our wildest dreams,” Barack Obama.

Watch Obama wipeout the hard fought progress that we have made exposing the fake “War on Terror”, the failure of “The Surge”, and the false accusations that stand against Iran, right now, threatening to escalate that situation just like Iraq in 2003.

Bill O - “Do you think we are in a War on Terror?”

Obama - “Absolutely

Obama said he “absolutely” believed the U.S. is in a war against terrorism and identified the enemies as al-Qaeda, the Taliban and “…a whole host of networks that are bent on attacking America who have a distorted ideology.

Iran also is a “major threat,” he said, though warned against the danger of lumping different groups together as a common foe.

Obama said it would be “unacceptable” for Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon. “It would be game -changer,” he said. “I would never take a military option off the table.” Bloomberg Report.

Now this is only the first part of Bill-O’s interview with Barack. The rest he promises to air early next week.

But this will certainly give Bill-O and the other war-monger apologists plenty of ammunition to retort to any claims we have made and will make about these very serious issues. Bill-O will pump himself up as having been “right” all this time, when we were busy quoting facts and showing links to proof that the War on Terror was a fraud; The Surge has been a miserable failure; and Iran presents no threat to America in any way.

Barack jumps into the fray and in one 7 minute interview, he cuts our legs out from under us, and he props up McCain’s entire campaign platform.

Now if you think he just has to say this to get those voters, remember back when the nomination process was going on, and all the progressive and populous anti-war messages he spouted to us. What was he doing then? Just “saying what he had to, to get the votes”? Yeah. There is no telling what this guy stands for, folks. And if you think the McCain camp isn’t already cutting the video to put together another “flip-flop” campaign commercial, think again.

This one was just hand delivered to the war party on a silver platter. Nice work Barack.

Surge Protectors: Obama Embraces Bush-McCain Spin on Iraq

Friday, 05 September 2008
Barack Obama has now declared -- on Fox News, no less -- that George W. Bush's escalation of the flagrant war crime in Iraq has "succeeded beyond our wildest dreams." He also proclaimed his "absolute" belief in the "War on Terror," and pledged, once again, "never to take a military option off the table" (not even the nuclear option) against the "major threat" of Iran.
