So says the local media on the vandalism of the GOP headquarters.
It was only a couple of weeks ago that the MTSU campus was shut down over "terrorist" threats.
Seems like Murfreesboro is a hotbed for disinters.
Is it possible someone is being paid to stir the pot?
Overnight, someone threw a brick through the front window.
"When I got here the whole window was knocked out and there were shards of glass all over," Lou Ann Zelenick, chair of the Rutherford County GOP, showed News 2.
She said the brick that was thrown through the window "had a symbol of an ‘A', with a circle around it, the symbol of anarchy."
The smashed window was discovered at about 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Zelenick said it isn't the first time so-called anarchists vandalized the headquarters.
"It is the circle and the letter ‘A' which stands for anarchy and it is the same symbol that we have seen painted on our door and painted on the brick," she told News 2. "We had to have that replaced and that was done about a year ago."
Murfreesboro police are investigating.
The Republican Party in Rutherford County is planning a rally Tuesday night, where hundreds of people are expected and singer Aaron Tippin is slated to perform. Police believe these vandals may have been trying to draw attention away from the event.
Party leaders said this comes after weeks of threatening phone calls, with one person threatening to "tie them up,” and other vandalism, like the spray-painting of doors and stolen campaign signs.
