AP Hearts Blackwater

Journalistic quackery arrives this evening in the form of a ridiculously-titled Associated Press report, “Blackwater guards: Mercenaries or decorated vets?” Medaled soldiers can not possibly be hired thugs, implies the editor.

But of course, they are.

AP hearts militant corporatism.

An India-Pakistan War Could Be Like the Iran-Iraq War of the 1980's

The CIA and its friends like to keep rival powers weak.

The CIA and its friends like to make money by supplying armaments to both sides in wars.

The Military-Industrial-Narco Complex needs wars.

The U.S. sold $50 billion dollars worth of weapons to Iraq before the first gulf war.

A Historic Moment: The Election of the Greatest Con-Man in Recent History

James Petras

The entire political spectrum ranging from the ‘libertarian’ left, through the progressive editors of the Nation to the entire far right neo-con/Zionist war party and free market Berkeley/Chicago/Harvard academics, with a single voice, hailed the election of Barack Obama as a ‘historic moment’, a ‘turning point in American history and other such histrionics. For reasons completely foreign to the emotional ejaculations of his boosters, it is a historic moment: witness the abysmal gap between his ‘populist’ campaign demagoguery and his long-standing and deepening carnal relations with the most retrograde political figures, power brokers and billionaire real estate and financial backers.

What was evident from even a cursory analysis of his key campaign advisers and public commitments to Wall Street speculators, civilian militarists, zealous Zionists and corporate lawyers was hidden from the electorate, by Obama’s people friendly imagery and smooth, eloquent deliverance of a message of ‘hope’.

The Cutting Edge

Well, you never know with these wily terrorists. For all we know, he could be alive and well, right? I mean, look at Tim Osman/Osama bin Laden. Alive and plotting against Western Civilization...dead since 2001...what's the difference? For all intents and purposes, he is alive and busy. That's the terror of it: you just never know. No preparations will ever be enough. We can go around and around on this carousel of terror for ever and ever and ever, world without end. Amen.

Liberty or Sustainable Development - Part 13

Agenda 21 seeks to regionalize America to the benefit of a shrinking number of political-economic insiders. Regionalism is the political system for state collectivist policies.

The Agenda 21 collectivism is designed to implement the United Nations Charter. This is the goal of Sustainable Development policy. The Charter of the United Nations’ premise is the idea that ordinary human beings are “resources”. The elite will arrange these resources into sustainable numbers of worker bees and bee keepers.

Knowledge for a Revolution: From Fear to Truth

Dr. Gregory Damato

The western world has purposely been misled, intimidated and hypnotized by fear from nearly all established institutions of civilization. The best way to wire an individual's brain for fear is to consistently state the exact same premise over and over again regardless of the veracity of such statements. As neuroscientists predict, individuals will unconsciously begin to believe such statements and the more often these ideas are reinforced, the stronger the hard wiring becomes.

We live in a semi-conscious state of terrorism where our minds have ostensibly been pre-programmed for fear. As history has consistently shown mankind, the best way to control a population is through the institutionalization of fear. Cancer, debt, disease, terrorism, sleeper cells, war, Al Qaeda, and death are just some of the key words promulgated throughout our daily lives, but how much of these are actually true threats deserving of our fear? Even better, how many of these fears are simply unfounded and misguided to keep us in an uncertain, apprehensive and controlled state of mind?

The Road War Moves to Pakistan

Suspected militants attacked a Pakistan transport terminal used to supply NATO and U.S. troops in Afghanistan, killing a guard and burning 106 vehicles on Sunday.
About 30 assailants armed with guns and rockets attacked the Portward Logistic Terminal near the city of Peshawar before dawn Sunday, police official Kashif Alam said.

A week ago something similar happened, as it did in mid November.

It seems that the winter campaign of the resistance in Pashtunistan, the area on both sides of the Afghan-Pakistan boarder, will be against U.S./NATO supply convoys. The road war within Afghanistan has been going on for quite a while. The road war now moves into Pakistan.

Jewish lobbies make last minute plea for spy Jonathan Pollard

by Maasanova

The Jewish news service JTA has reported that 51 Jewish groups, beholden to the state of Israel have collectively lobbied President Bush for the release of the American turncoat Jonathan Pollard. Pollard is currently serving a life sentence for spying for Israel.

“A major Jewish umbrella group asked President Bush to pardon Jonathan Pollard.

The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, the foreign policy umbrella body for U.S. Jewish groups, approved the plea in a conference call, its executive vice chairman, Malcolm Hoenlein, told JTA.

“It’s time that he be released,” Hoenlein said of Pollard, a former U.S. navy analyst who was sentenced to life in prison in 1987 for spying for Israel. “He has expressed remorse.”

Cops get schooled on entrapment in Fourth Amendment sting

I've long thought that too many civil liberties advocates (myself included) are reactive -- forever chasing the last horrendous abuse, only to be blind-sided by the next one. What we need are more pro-freedom advocates who are confrontational and take the battle to the authorities. Of course, that would probably require somebody with a bankroll to spend on good deeds, or else some way to make such confrontations into a commercial opportunity so they're self-financing. Sort of like what ex-cop Barry Cooper did when he set a trap for Odessa, Texas, police and filmed the results for his online reality show, KopBusters.

  1. “It’s time that he be released,” Hoenlein said of Pollard, a former U.S. navy analyst who was sentenced to life in prison in 1987 for spying for Israel. “He has expressed remorse.

What's particulary galling about Pollard's spying is that he was giving some of our top nuclear war codes and info to Israel, who then sold and traded that info to the USSR.

Our defense against an attack by the Soviet Union had been neutered and at the time, we didn't even know that.

    He stole enough sensitive info to fill a room 10' x 10' x 6'.

He also gave over the names of more than a few of our spies, who were then rounded up by the Soviets and either executed or tortured to death.

He'll probably get his pardon from Bush, who proved long ago he's a traitor.

  2. It would seem insane to pardon Pollard...but it just may happen.
Probably on Bush's last day in office and the MSM will bury the story.
