Is AP upset over the Israel's media blackout of Gaza?
The entire report practically condemns the Israeli military establishment as being a deceitful and tyrannical censor, calling the aza media black-out ”a policy matter, not security.” Moreover, combined with many other AP reports on Israeli aggression during the current massacre on Gaza, the report implies to readers that the IDF has been targeting civilian objects with terrorizing regularity. Yet, for all this reporting on Israel’s Stalinist lip-zipping and its constant targeting of civilian objects, AP ultimately carries the Israeli water bucket by stating, as fact, that Hamas is uniquely the terrorist organization.
For AP’s editorial management, it’s logistics over ethics. They’re not upset at the Israeli government because they can’t perform some noble duty as journalists, exposing the truth in Gaza; they’re pissed because they are not allowed to ‘cover’ Israel’s actions at the scale and pace to which they’re accustomed.
The IDF’s casualty rate is about 1/20th that of Palestinians, an eloquent reminder of the lopsidedness in lethality between the two sides.
Avichay Sharon, who served for three years as a first sergeant with the Golani Brigade in the Israeli Defence Forces, is travelling in North American and gave a half-hour talk to journalists that was sponsored by Independent Jewish Voices.
And when he returns home and gets the call to serve in the reserves, Sharon said it will be a tough decision.
“If I had been called to take part in something like what is happening now I would definitely refuse, for moral, political and patriotic reasons. ”Sometimes you have to say no,” he said, even if the consequence often means going to jail.
***********Don't want the NWO? Support Palestine.
The NWO wants to bring more and more countries under international (meaning NWO) influence, and then rule them all. One way to do that is by making big messes in strategic areas, especially resource-rich strategic areas such as in the Middle East and Africa, thereby requiring international forces to come into play. This may be the "solution" offered for Israel to deal with the Palestinians. The international community will come to the "rescue" when it cannot be resolved due to Israel's intransigence, officially blamed on Hamas, of course. Problem - reaction - solution. Once that happens, people will feel the crisis has subsided, they will breathe a sigh of relief and go back to whatever it is they were doing before, and the deals will get cut in the back rooms. The next time you decide to pay attention it will be too late. The deals will be done. Israel will come out on top, regardless of their crimes against humanity. That's how the NWO pecking order works. Israel sits at the top of global freemasonry. That is why Israel has blatant, in-your-face Masonic symbols displayed prominently in public places, such as on the road crossing from Egypt into Israel in Eilat, and literally all over the Israeli Supreme Court Building. Look it up.
Where democracy cannot work, allegedly because the Arab peoples can't figure it out, but in reality because NWO people actively prevent it from working and even when it does work despite all their shenanigans, as in Hamas' election, the NWO simply denies it, that is the battleground today. When those battles cease, the battle moves someplace else, maybe someplace closer to home, my little cabbage.

In farewell speech, Bush insists "war on terror" must continue
In his final speech from the White House Thursday night, President George W. Bush defended his legacy of war, torture and domestic repression while vowing that the “war on terror,” the ideological mainspring of his administration, must go on.
Speaking just five days before he leaves office, Bush directed his remarks at justifying the criminal record of his eight years as president, while seeking to ensure that the main thrust of his policies will continue after the inauguration next Tuesday of President-elect Barack Obama.
As he has done so often over the past seven years, Bush attempted one last time to wrap himself in the bloody mantle of September 11 and claim that the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington were the driving force behind his administration’s decisions to invade Afghanistan, wage war on Iraq and arrogate to itself the right to torture, kidnap, murder, conduct illegal domestic spying and hold prisoners without charges or trials in US-run concentration camps.
(Notice how most everything he says is a lie. .ed)
In which politicians lie
Appalling as it is for Barack Obama to implicitly endorse the mass genocide of thousands of Arabs in the Gaza strip by the Israeli menace, thus becoming complicit with the war crimes, it should not really come as a surprise. After all, what more would you expect from an American politician? News flash, my friends, politicians lie! They are not pious men by any means; they are amoral opportunists with little concern about you or your loved ones if they can sweep the blood under the rug.
If you were an Obama supporter for the reason that you thought change was going to happen, I hope this shows you exactly how futile those efforts were - and how futile it is to attempt to start change through votes.

Gaza: The Tip of An Iceberg
What is happening in Gaza today is the tip of an iceberg. That iceberg is the genocide of the Palestinian people. It is a slow genocide, just slow enough for the world to look the other way most of the time. Occasionally, as at present, it speeds up and we see its tip.
Such genocides are a common accompaniment of exclusive colonial projects. The Spanish committed genocide against the Incas, the British committed genocide against the Aboriginal and Maori people, the Americans committed genocide against the Native Americans, the Belgians killed 10 million Congolese. Now the Jews are trying to wipe out the Palestinians.
You may say that I should moderate my language and say only that we are witness to an unfortunate war in which people are getting killed. But this is part of an intentional war on the part of Israel, and, moreover, it clearly coincides with the international legal definition of genocide. Let us not, therefore mince our words.

Is the 'special relationship' over?
The role played by Israel as the catalyst for war in the Middle East was dramatically underscored the other day, when David Sanger of the New York Times reported Israel had requested access to "bunker-buster" bombs developed by the US, and also clearance for flying over Iraqi airspace to get at Iran. Both requests were denied.
Tensions within the "special relationship" have been escalating ever since. The first public eruption occurred over the UN Gaza resolution, when Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the world how he had yanked the President of the United States "off the podium" and demanded the US abstain from the Security Council vote. The United States isn't exactly calling Olmert a liar, but, then again, in the course of denying it, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack went out of his way to issue a stinging rebuke. Olmert's comments, he averred, "are wholly inaccurate as to describing the situation, just 100-percent, totally, completely not true." He tartly advised the Israeli government to correct the record.
Is the US-Israel "special relationship" fraying around the edges? After all, this is hardly the sort of talk one hears between the two: Mr. and Mrs. Perfect Couple are usually careful to conduct their occasional spats behind closed doors. That this repartee is being exchanged on the international stage is extraordinary behavior indeed. It suggests a fundamental shift in US policy, in part dictated by objective circumstances, and propelled, as well, by increased Israeli assertiveness, which has widened the fault-lines that have always existed between Washington and Tel Aviv.
It is November 4th, 2008. An American woman, chartered by the U.S. Army, is talking to an Afghan man in a small town 80 kilometers from Kandahar about the price of fuel. Suddenly, he ignites the pitcher of gas he is holding, and throws it on her. She is set aflame. He is immediately captured, held by American contract and uniformed security forces for the ten minutes it takes to get a report on the woman’s condition. She is alive, but horribly burned. A U.S. security contractor presses his pistol against the side of the Afghan’s head and pulls the trigger, killing him instantly.
The woman was Paula Loyd, and she died January 7th of her injuries. The dead Afghani was Abdul Salam. The security contractor, Don Ayala, was temporarily held in a joint US-Afghan facility that allegedly did not meet the incarceration standards required for US citizens. Now home in New Orleans on a $200,000 bail, he is charged with second-degree murder. Plea bargaining appears to be underway with the US Federal District Court in Alexandra, VA.
Ayala is the first defense contractor to be charged with murder under the Military Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Act, a 2000 law which allows prosecution of civilian contractors accused of crimes while working for the United States in a foreign country. CIA contractors have been charged with murder, as have active duty military members. Defense contractors, after eight years, are now on notice.

Hegemony is the dominance of one group over other groups, with or without the threat of force, to the extent that, for instance, the dominant party can dictate the terms of trade to its advantage; more broadly, cultural perspectives become skewed to favor the dominant group. The cultural control that hegemony asserts affects commonplace patterns of thought: hegemony controls the way new ideas are rejected or become naturalized in a process that subtly alters notions of common sense in a given society.
Hegemony results in the empowerment of certain cultural beliefs, values, and practices to the submersion and partial exclusion of others. Hegemony influences the perspective of mainstream history, as history is written by the victors for a congruent readership. History has it that hegemony has been played since time immemorial; we may recall the dominance of Persian, Roman, Mongol, Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, German, Chinese, Russian, French, British Empire, amongst others.
These days, hegemony is played through the international system by supreme powers such as the United States, China, Russia, India and the European Union. As we all know the U.S. is the youngest among them, but how did she become rival for hegemonic battle in this world? The U.S. does not have history of a concordances, ruling like others, consequently where is the interest of the U.S. in this competition? The answer is in United Kingdom and more or less the State of Israel.
- Who will administer this new hate crime bureaucracy? H.R. 262 says that, although Congress will make it law, it won't be run by the government. Instead, the bill says the government will be looking for a private non-profit organization with broad experience in hate crimes education, prevention, and statistics gathering.
- Where might such a high-minded, illustrious, and experienced organization be found? You guessed it. There's only one "civil liberties" group remotely equal to that task, one which describes itself as "the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice, and bigotry," the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith.

UK Jewish Member of Parliament likens Israel to Nazis
On 15 January 2009, the UK parliament discussed Gaza.
A veteran British Jewish lawmaker, Sir Gerald Kaufman, compared the Israeli offensive in Gaza to the Nazis who forced his family to flee from Poland.
"It is time for our government to make clear to the Israeli government that its conduct and policies are unacceptable and to impose a total arms ban on Israel."
George Galloway referred to the MPs who have talked about visiting Siderot in Israel.
"Did any of them, when they were there, see the remains of the Palestinian villages on which Siderot was built"?
Or did they consider the Palestinians living "in the refugee camps of Gaza who used to live in the villages on which Siderot was built"?
He said the conflict has a long history. "This started in this building when Arthur Balfour on behalf of one people made a promise to a second people of land that belonged to a third people.
"We are the authors of this tragedy. Everything that has resulted has resulted from that decision."

". . . is it even possible to imagine an Op-Ed or column being published by a major newspaper that enthusiastically trumpeted all of the great strategic benefits that would accrue to Muslims from the violent deaths of large numbers of Israeli civilians, the way Friedman today did with regard to the deaths of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians?"
Another advantage of the slaughter - perhaps the most important in the long run - is that it has made it abundantly clear that the root cause of the problems in the Middle East is the extremist racist psychopathic supremacism of the Jewish people, so transparently reflected in the comments of a Jew like Friedman when a little pressure is applied, in this case the pressure of a few complaints about the magnitude and illegality of the Jewish slaughtering. It is this incurable - at least in the short run, but we do not have time to wait for future generations - collective psychopathy that is the real reason that the world must eliminate the Jewish State of Israel, and replace it with a state ruled by Palestinians. Of course, Jews could still live in a Palestinian state if they wanted to, but their collective psychopathic supremacism will mean that the vast majority would not choose to live under Gentile rule.
Beware the Rahm
Barack Obama’s children may be getting a new puppy, but American gun owners will soon be the targets of an attack dog named Rahm Emanuel.
On Jan. 20, this fierce enemy of the Second Amendment will become the chief of staff to the president of the United States.Unfortunately, that power has often been used to the detriment of the Constitution. When Bill Clinton wanted to target the Second Amendment, he made Emanuel his gun czar.
In 1998, Clinton forbade the import of 58 types of firearms and their accessories. At the time, Emanuel proudly announced, “We're bending the law as far as we can to ban an entirely new class of guns.”Emanuel defended the ban on The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, repeatedly claiming that the banned guns were “military weapons, not sporting weapons.”
“Those weapons were designed for one purpose—military—and they don't belong on our streets,” he insisted.
Emanuel asserted that Clinton had banned “the AK-47,” which was pure nonsense. The AK-47, which is a fully automatic rifle, was not covered by the import ban. Indeed, not one of the guns banned was an automatic, nor were any of the guns manufactured primarily for military use.

Net Neutrality Bill Passes
Net neutrality provisions were snuck into the bill signed by Congress today releasing the last $350 billion of the Tarp bailout money.
The $350 billion will probably do about as much good as the first $350 (in other words, none), but - instead of rum and wooden arrow regulations - at least we got something useful this time in the form of net neutrality.Lobbyists and attorneys will no doubt attempt to create loopholes in the net neutrality bill, and the fight to keep the net free is probably just beginning. But it is an important victory, nonetheless.
Too Cold for Schools?
(Are we weak and scared or just a way to get a four day holiday?)
Near Zero Temp Closes Schools
Most schools in Middle Tennessee will close today because of concerns about students walking to school or waiting for the bus on a morning when the temperature will be near zero.
The school closings will result in a four-day weekend; schools are closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
