Norton Ore, chair of the ISM Manufacturing Business Survey Committee, reported, "The decline covers the full breadth of manufacturing industries, as none of the industries in the sector report growth at this time. New orders have contracted for 13 consecutive months, and are at the lowest level on record going back to January 1948." Prices also fell the most since 1949.
The manufacturing index figures open 2009 with a sign of what is to come: a global economic slump on a scale not seen since the 1930s.

Speaking of true American heroes
Philip Agee had left the CIA in 1969 after 12 years working mainly in Latin America, where he gradually became disgusted by the agency’s collusion with military dictators in the region and decided to blow the whistle on their activities. The Mexico City massacre of student protesters in 1968 also stiffened his resolve. His 1975 book, Inside the Company: CIA Diary, spilled the beans on his former employers and enraged the US government, not least because it named CIA operatives.

The Associated Press and those 'Secondary Explosions'!
With all the news lately of the death and destruction happening in “the Holy Land” this past week, it’s good to know that Israel, the Middle East’s “only fledgling democracy,” has at its disposal ”the world’s largest and most trusted source of news and information” to help explain away all the unfortunate results unexpectedly occurring after its 1-ton bombs are unintentionally dropped on Palestinian non-combatants and civilians in Gaza.
No problemo. For whenever the most powerful military power in the Middle East needs that extra boost of rocket-propelled propaganda, they turn to The Associated Press to make sure we “understand” it wasn’t really their fault. I call this phenomenon the “informational secondary explosion” — so-named after one of the IDF’s favorite explanations for why the accidental and unfortunate results of its heroic airstrikes ”appear to be“ so “collaterally damaging.”

It really appears evident there is a small army of propagandists working this story. What I have read over and over (and over and over and over) from the pro Israel crowd is how Hamas has been lobbing rockets at some of the Israeli border towns that are situated near the Gaza strip and that they broke the ceasefire (which isn't true). They never mention these are towns that were built on land that was forcefully and brutally stolen from the Palestinians who are now imprisoned in that embattled hell hole.
I imagine when most people hear the meme about the Hamas rocket 'barrages' they picture something much larger and more deadly than this.

The international community, which until now has done nothing but parrot talking points supplied by the Israelis, will suddenly grow a conscience just in time to prevent Israel from having to invade Gaza, something the Israelis don't really want to do (they fear Hamas capturing Israeli soldiers). As a result of the Zionist slaughter, Hamas will end up stronger (which was probably the Israeli plan). Your tax dollars will then be employed to begin to pay for the damage caused by World Jewry. As nothing will be done to put an end to Israel (just as nothing was done after the outrages committed against Lebanon), the Israelis will be free to commit another outrage (and another, and another, and another . . .) as soon as the dust clears from this one.
Behold Pure Racism
Straight from the Talmud, a "holy" book of rabbinical teachings.
In Midrasch Talpioth (fol. 225d) it says:
"God created them in the form of men for the glory of Israel. But Akum were created for the sole end of ministering unto them [the Jews] day and night. Nor can they ever be relieved from this service. It is becoming to the son of a king [an Israelite] that animals in their natural form, and animals in the form of human beings should minister unto him."
In Kerithuth (6b p. 78) it says:
"The teaching of the Rabbis is: He who pours oil over a Goi, and over dead bodies is freed from punishment. This is true for an animal because it is not a man. But how can it be said that by pouring oil over a Goi one is freed from punishment, since a Goi is also a man? But this is not true, for it is written: Ye are my flock, the flock of my pasture are men (Ezechiel, XXXIV, 31). You are thus called men, but the Goim are not called men."

Ignoring the Solutions Won't Fix the Problems
You can't solve a problem by ignoring the solution. If you don't know the solution, you just keep grabbing at what sounds good, but never solves the problem. The truth is painful.
Think: good times are over. Hunker down and become part of the millions across this country who are doing everything humanly possibly to stop the complete destruction of this republic and drag us into global government.
The destroyers formulated their game plan centuries ago and they've been implementing it steadily ever since. To solve a problem you go back to the genesis of the problem and then you go about fixing it, not treating the symptoms. Our task is formidable because of corrupt politicians at all levels of government. We also have to fight the lies and bias pumped out 24/7 by the dominant media in this country, although, the big newspapers are dying because they have betrayed the public trust.

FBI: Ajmal Kasab has no links to Pakistan
If the CIA and its friends get a war going, it is the ordinary Indians who could suffer. (Analysis: Nuclear Armageddon in South Asia)The Guardian reported that senior political figures in Kabul, including the president's brother, Walid, and deputy interior minister for counternarcotics General Muhammad Daud, are heavily involved in the illicit trade.
Why then, given the decades-long collaboration amongst intelligence agencies and drug trafficking syndicates, do U.S. corporate media still find it "ironic" that current American efforts to stamp out Taliban-controlled drug networks in fact, simply hand control of the traffic over to narcos more amenable to American geopolitical goals?

Letter to President George W. Bush on the Gaza Crisis - Ralph Nader
Dear George W. Bush,
Congressman Barney Frank said recently that Barack Obama's declaration that "there is only one president at a time" over-estimated the number. He was referring to the economic crisis. But where are you on the Gaza crisis where the civilian population of Gaza, its civil servants and public facilities are being massacred and destroyed respectively by U.S built F-16s and U.S. built helicopter gunships.
Why should this trouble you at all? It violates international law, including the Geneva Conventions and the UN Charter. You too have repeatedly violated international law and committed serious constitutional transgressions.
Then there is the matter of the Israeli government blocking imports of critical medicines, equipment such as dialysis machines, fuel, food, water, spare parts and electricity at varying intensities for almost two years. The depleted UN aid mission there has called this illegal blockade a humanitarian crisis especially devastating to children, the aged and the infirm. Chronic malnutrition among children is rising rapidly. UN rations support eighty percent of this impoverished population.

The Dr. Goebbels of Israeli Propaganda Unleashes Lies and Deceit.
The Dr. Goebbels of Israeli propaganda, Yardin Vatikai, chief of the Israeli Zionist’s propaganda office known as the National Information Directorate (NID), has his work cut out as he attempts to justify and lie Israel’s way out of accusations by the people of the world that Israel is committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

Stop the Wall
As the Stop The Wall website (www.stopthewall.org) notes in its boycott section:
“The academic boycott calls upon universities, academic institutions, students, and scholars to stop cooperation with their Israeli counterparts. Israeli academic institutions and scholars are not only instrumental in perpetuating and teaching Israeli racist and colonial ideologies and repressing internal dissent, but these institutions are also places where the theories, plans, and projects of Israeli Occupation and Apartheid are elaborated and intellectually supported. The academic boycott asks the student movements and the international academic community to take up their responsibility as intellectual leaders to uphold and promote the ideals of justice, freedom, and equality and to oppose colonial apartheid policies such as those inflicted upon the Palestinian people. Academia can never be “neutral”; academics need to choose between supporting the status quo or being part of a movement to promote social change and justice.”

Bioethics Professor Seeks to Drug College Students with Ritalin Before Exams
John Harris, professor of bioethics and director of the Institute for Science, Ethics and Innovation at the University of Manchester is at it again, pushing for drug use by college students who want to "enhance their brain power" before exams. What drugs should they be taking? Amphetamines, he says! (Speed)
Of course, he doesn't mean they should be able to take any amphetamines they want. They should only be able to buy Big Pharma's amphetamines that just happen to make a ton of money for the drug companies. It's okay to teach college students to abuse mind-altering drugs if there's an exam score on the line, after all.
Conventional medicine is now pushing hard for the legalization of mind-altering drugs to be used by students. It was only a few weeks ago that the medical journal Nature published a highly-publicized editorial authored by several doctors (including John Harris) who strongly advocated the use of Ritalin and other mind-altering drugs by students (gee, haven't they drugged enough students with Ritalin already?).
