Is Israel Winning the 'Media War' over Gaza?

“Whenever Israel is bombing, it is hard to explain our position to the world,” said Avi Pazner, former Israeli ambassador to Italy and France, and “one of the officials drafted in to present Israel’s case to the world media,” according to the Jewish Chronicle. “But at least this time everything was ready and in place.”

“Fewer military officers; more women; tightly controlled messages; and ministers kept on a short leash. This was Israel’s new media game plan in Operation Cast Lead,” the newspaper reported.

It’s always difficult to fathom Israel’s giddiness and sense of triumph as defenseless civilians are pulverized by mostly U.S.-supplied warplanes and bombs. Even if one chooses to empathize with Israel’s dodgy claim, parroted endlessly by the George W. Bush administration, that the Israeli army is in a state of self-defense, one can never fully grasp the wisdom of its military tactics.

Moloch's Altar: Child Sacrifice and the War on Terror

"Taking cover among civilians." This is a curious locution. When you launch missiles to kill the democratically elected officials of a government -- especially when you target their private homes -- where else do you expect to find them? Gaza is a giant, open-air prison which no one can leave and where, as the story notes, 1.4 million people live in densely-packed urban areas and refugee camps. Where else are the "Hamas militants" supposed to exist in this seething sardine tin except "among civilians"? Naturally, it would be far more convenient if every member of Hamas -- including, again, the democratically elected officials of the government -- painted themselves bright red and gathered in, say, a soccer stadium, where Israel could then drop bombs on them with no muss, no fuss. But we are dealing with the real world, where human beings of every description, profession, ideology and belief must of necessity live and work in close proximity to one another -- especially in the reconstruction of the Warsaw Ghetto that is Gaza today.

But of course, in order to smuggle the smallest nugget of truth about Gaza into the American media, it must first be larded with huge dollops of mitigating "context" to mask the horrific brutality and naked aggression of the Israeli campaign. And the "human shield" gambit is the probably the most frequently employed fig leaf by the apologists of oppression.

A socialist answer to the Gaza crisis
The genocidal offensive launched by the Israeli government is inseparably connected to the crisis of the capitalist world economy. After decades of unrestrained enrichment, the ruling classes all over the world have nothing to offer the working masses except poverty, unemployment, exploitation, repression and war.

Israel demonstrates this development in microcosm. Israeli society is wrought by profound social divisions. Its government is thoroughly embroiled in corruption. One of the aims of the onslaught on the Gaza Strip is, in the middle of an election campaign, to divert attention from the seething social tensions inside Israel itself.

Zionism has proved to be a trap for the Jewish people.

What is wrong with this picture of Beit Hanum, Gaza and Sderot, Israel?

Take a look at this pic of the land where Israel buts up against Occupied Gaza. On the left is the Gaza city of Beit Hanum, on the right, the Israeli city of Sderot.

Notice how the land in Occupied Gaza looks brown, dry and lifeless, with only a few splotches of green?

Then look at the land in Israel. The lush greenness of the land and the irrigated and fertile fields literally leap out at one's eye.

It's easy to see who's in control of the water.

The Sickness That Has Overtaken the US Congress

The U.S. House of Representatives on Friday passed a resolution “recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza” by a majority of 390-5.

Watch comments from Jewish senators:

“When these events occur, there’s almost a knee-jerk reaction of Congress that endorses 1,000 percent what Israel is doing,” said Nick Rahall, a West Virginia Democrat and Lebanese-American who has voted against some of the measures and did so again on Friday.

NATO To Go Into Gaza?

"The ultimate goal of the Gaza invasion is to create the conditions to introduce international troops into Palestine...

"Brzezinski, with Brent Scowcroft... insist that the path to Middle Eastern stability requires the deployment of NATO in Palestine...

"Besides Indyk and Brzezinski, one of the main proponents of the international deployment is retired General James Jones, Obama’s pick as national security adviser...

The Seriously Twisted Alan Dershowitz Creates the Ultimate Chutzpah

Dershowitz writes: “This is the Hamas dual strategy: to kill and injure as many Israeli civilians as possible by firing rockets indiscriminately at Israeli civilian targets, and to provoke Israel to kill as many Palestinian civilians as possible to garner world sympathy.”

This is classic Dershowitz chutzpah.

The reality goes more like this: ‘This is the Zionists dual strategy: to kill and injure as many Palestinian civilians as possible by indiscriminately bombing and machine-gunning them from helicopter gunships and attack aircraft, and subjecting them to deprivation, and to provoke Palestinians to kill as many Israeli citizens as possible to garner world sympathy.’

If it wasn’t so desperately tragic one might think it was just a sick joke.

Peter Schiff is a Liar

How can Schiff say the government can print more money when the Federal Reserve is a private corporation? This is a big fat LIE! For this reason this guy should never be trusted. Anyone that talks about the Fed and misses the fact that its run lock, stock and barrel by Jews and simply another Jewish monopoly is the reason for the problem in the first place. This guy talks the talk, but somehow, someway misses the most important part of the whole issue. This guy is the internet shill's golden boy. If the blame isnt put on the criminals the criminals will still be free to rape, rob and pillage.

How to Have More White Babies: Part I of III

The smallest unit of our Folk capable of reproducing itself and carrying on our culture is not the individual, but the family. Anything that affects the family, automatically affects our people. Many lament the fact that, across the globe, European numbers are dwindling both in absolute terms and relative to incoming replacement Third World populations. If current low natality rates continue, even if our lands were emptied of invaders; most of our unique genes that have persisted for untold millennia will cease to exist in about 250 years. When taking inter-racial marriage, the rates at which our people are the victims of violence and similar phenomena into account, the end of our people will be even sooner.

This is no small matter. We are talking about an entire human race being wiped from the face of the earth in two centuries or less. We will be gone just as certainly and just as irrevocably as if we had all been lined up for mass gas-chamber execution and incineration. No more Michelangelos, Lois Pasteurs, Thomas Edisons, Elizabeth Brownings or William Shockleys will be born. The idea that what is important about us is our culture, and that our culture can continue without us flies in the face of reality.

Is Saakashvili Again Trying War?

In August the Georgian president Saakashvili ordered an attack on the renegade South Ossetia and Russian peacekeepers there. He did not expected the obvious Russian answer that routed his forces within days. He did expect U.S. support which did not come. South Ossetia and another province, Abkhasia, then declared themselves independent.

But Saakashvili has not given up on them and there are signs that he is preparing for a new immediate attempt to regain South Ossetia or at least launch a provocation.

Thanks to Bush he may well again believe that he now really has U.S. support for that. But Bush will soon be gone, so maybe now is the right time to do ... something.

Alex Jones' latest stunt

Now Alex is auctioning off on Ebay what he calls his "Tyranny Crusher" bullhorn. Can this guy actually stoop any lower? The bullhorn is already up to $45,778 (the starting bid was $1,500) with five days remaining. Jones not long ago cashed in on the Ron Paul hype by promoting his own "money bomb," earning over $200,000. How much more money does the guy need, and for what? So he can become even more like the mainstream media? What a joke!

Sadly, I think this might say more about some of Jones' followers than Jones himself, and proof that there indeed is a sucker born every minute. I am sure Jones will be laughing himself all the way to the bank.

Normally I would not even bother bringing this up, but the audacity and blatancy of some of these established "truth" gurus really floors me. It also floors me how damn gullible and weak-minded people are. Don't these people realize that they're playing into the same idol worship mentality promoted by the elite via their degenerate media and Hollywood? The same elite and media they claim to despise? If it isn't about idol worship, then would they spend that kind of money on a used Radio Shack bullhorn (let alone one that's broken) from any average joe on the street?

From Exercise to Real?

Obama-Bush teams to stage 'disaster' exercise

The outgoing White House administration will next week hold a joint "disaster scenario" exercise with top members of the incoming team of president-elect Barack Obama, US officials said Friday.

"I'm not going to go into the details of it, but it is a disaster scenario where the government would be very much tested," White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said.

"It is an exercise scenario, a hypothetical scenario that is designed to test and tax the capabilities of the federal government," he added.

Did We Just Have Our i-911...and is an i-Patriot Act On its Way?

Former Counter Terrorism Czar Richard Clarke told a leading expert on internet free speech, Stanford law professor Lawrence Lessig, that there was going to be an "i-9/11", in other words, an electronic terrorist act, and an "i-Patriot Act" to crack down on freedoms on the Internet under the guise of protecting against such threats:

"There’s going to be an i-9/11 event. Which doesn’t necessarily mean an Al Qaeda attack, it means an event where the instability or the insecurity of the internet becomes manifest during a malicious event which then inspires the government into a response. You’ve got to remember that after 9/11 the government drew up the Patriot Act within 20 days and it was passed."

Winning the War on Food (Part 3): When Gardening Is Considered Homegrown Terrorism There are several political issues that are important to understand as the government erodes our rights to do anything about the issues regarding food irradiation and vitamin regulation. This is a continuation of the previous article 'Winning the War on Food (Part 2): Mass Irradiation of Produce'.

With legislation like The Radicalization of Homegrown Terrorist Prevention Act of 2007 (HR 1955 and SB 1959), it may soon be considered terrorism if one disseminates any truth (or ideology). Even though corporations are protected by the first amendment to the point where they can outright lie (as the Mainstream Media routinely does), citizens will not be allowed to even state facts. These laws will be selectively enforced so radio talk show hosts can still promote violence against those questioning the 9-11 Commission report (to say that dissent is treason is pure Communism). Losing the first amendment means ordinary citizens may soon no longer be able to even inform others that their food has been poisoned. This is of course to protect poison manufacturers who have paid off members of Congress. Recently You Tube has implemented its own version of the bill, censoring many videos, for which we can thank Senator Joe Lieberman. Note that the first amendment is in order of importance.

WTF! Feeding unsuspecting children corpses, blood and pus

It is absurd how veggies are demonized, while meat and dairy products are glorified. Truth be told, no matter what anyone argues, schools feeding unsuspecting children the corpses of once living beings and promoting breast milk--complete with its blood, pus, and hormones--stolen from confined, drugged, and tortured cloned creatures as normal and healthy beyond infancy is a socially, mentally, spiritually, and ecologically damaging, unnecessary crime against humanity.

Pus: Thick opaque usually yellowish-white fluid matter formed by suppuration and composed of exudate containing white blood cells, tissue debris, and microorganisms

We Can No Longer Afford the Empire

Somebody is going to have to whisper in President-elect Obama's ear that the unipolar moment has passed and the United States can no longer afford its informal worldwide empire. Even though the looming economic meltdown will likely be serious – and maybe even cataclysmic – the foreign policy chattering classes of both parties are on autopilot and have not yet abandoned their interventionist consensus. A rude awakening awaits.

Even before the economic crisis hit, the United States was overextended abroad. One measure of that imperial overstretch was that the U.S. accounted for roughly 43 percent of the world's military spending but only 20 percent of the world's GDP. Another indication of that overextension was that even by thinning out troops in Europe and East Asia – where the threat has long gone but the U.S. continues to provide security for very wealthy nations that should be providing it entirely for themselves – the United States military strained to prosecute the two small wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Barack Obama has pledged to withdraw all U.S. combat forces from Iraq, but the U.S. national security establishment will make that difficult.

The Difficulty of Being an Informed American

The American print and TV media has never been very good. These days it is horrible. If a person intends to be informed, he must turn to foreign news broadcasts, to Internet sites, to foreign newspapers available on the Internet, or to alternative newspapers that are springing up in various cities. A person who sits in front of Murdoch’s Fox "News" or CNN or who reads the New York Times is simply being brainwashed with propaganda.

Before conservatives nod their heads in agreement, I’m not referring to "the liberal media." I mean the propaganda that issues from the US government and the Israel Lobby.

Area gun sales increasing, cops on board with carry permits In recent months, perhaps in reaction to political change and an economic downturn, gun sales have skyrocketed.

“There does seem to be a phenomena of people buying guns,” said Capt. Ben Harkins, Farragut liaison from Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

“Every-thing is changing with the economic status the way it is,” said Farragut businessman Garrell Foshee, owner of Personal Defense Options.

“Traditionally, what we find is that people who legally own guns [are the ones] we don’t have a problem with.

Billionaire Warren buffet's $4 Billion Israeli Investment

One reason the U.S. Corporate Establishment and its Big Media is still supporting the Israeli war machine’s brutal war against Palestinian civilians in Gaza (in violation of the Nuremberg Trial Accords, the UN Charter and international law) is that many U.S. corporations have invested a lot of money in the Zionist movement’s Israeli economy in recent years. U.S. Billionaire Warren Buffet's investment firm, for example, invested over $4 billion in Militaristic Israel a few years ago.

Buying Used Kid's Clothes Is A Crime

That's right.
After February 10th it will be illegal for thrift stores, eBay and I suppose you & me, to sell used children's clothes and toys.
There goes my yard sale.

The U.S. Federal law will take effect on February 10th.
It's part of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act.

Congress passed the law last year because of the cheap "Made In China" kid's stuff that has flooded the U.S. markets.

Those of you who buy your kid's clothes secondhand will no longer be able to do so legally without them being tested first for lead and phthalates.

I think we might forget testing second hand kid's clothes & toys.

How about testing Congress for brains?

Money Spent on the War On Drugs this Year

Obama's Message to Goyza
more - Auntie Ziona

  1. Anytime Israel goes on one of its homicidal rampages against its neighbors or Occupied Palestine, 90% of our Congress fights one another on who will be the first to reach the microphone to shout that they are the biggest fans of that nation of racists and bigots.

Most of our Congress members have kissed so much Israeli ass that they must have blisters on their tongues shaped like the Star of David.

The current Israeli Blitzkrieg of Gaza will not stop till Israel has murdered more Gazans than the number of Lebanese they butchered in the Summer of 2006.

Which means they plan on killing at least another 400 Gaza civilians to show the Muslim world and Israel's neighbors how tough they are.

How in the hell did we ever get into that "special relationship" with that nation of killers?

MONEY, lots and lots of money.

  2. "Most of our Congress members have kissed so much Israeli ass that they must have blisters on their tongues shaped like the Star of David."

    That's a great line Greg.

    I'll have to remember it.

  3. Let us pray for the safety of Palestinian civilians who held hostages by Hamas and the safety of Israeli soldiers. May this campaign end swiftly and may Hamas be annihilated. May moderate Muslims emerge victorious in the struggle for Gaza!
