Next Up...Nicotine Vaccine

If you survive the H1N1 vaccine, there will be an untold number of new ones coming down the pike. I wonder what else they will come up with? One doctor I heard said that we can take 1,000 vaccines without any problems. And I bet big pharma would like to sell each of us that many.

Stimulus money will fund nicotine vaccine trial

A $10-million grant to Nabi Pharmaceuticals of Rockville, Md., from the National Institute on Drug Abuse will fund a Phase 3 clinical trial of a new vaccine designed to prevent relapses among smokers -- the final step before the vaccine can be approved for general use. It is the first large trial of an anti-smoking vaccine.

The vaccine, called NicVax, stimulates the production of antibodies that bind to nicotine in the bloodstream.

The bound nicotine molecules are too large to enter the brain, thereby subverting the rewarding effects of the drug. Preliminary studies have shown that smokers who achieved the highest level of nicotine antibodies had higher rates of quitting smoking and longer durations of abstinence than those given placebos. The vaccine was also well tolerated, with few side effects.

Some evidence suggests that the antibodies may persist for only six to 12 months, but that may be long enough to allow smokers to get through the extremely difficult first months of withdrawal.

“When we carry our eyes back through the long records of our history, we see wars of plunder, wars of conquest, wars of religion, wars of pride, wars of succession, wars of idle speculation, wars of unjust interference, and hardly among them one war of necessary self-defence in any of our essential or very important interests.”

Fed and War Talk

There is no separating the Federal Reserve and the war machine. They are 'blood' brothers.

We are blindly shooting at the created enemies while the real criminals manipulate the system for their own profit and power.

How to stop the war machine
Why do these the hucksters and McCain supporters keep saying that they like Ron Paul but dislike him on foreign policy? It makes no sense.

”Because the central bank is the LIFEBLOOD of the EMPIRE.

If you want to stop the war machine, you have to go after the money machine.”-Tom Woods

This is why it's preposterous to separate foreign and domestic policy.
The Plan
Audit the Fed
End the Fed
End the I.R.S.
Restore sound money
Get out of the U.N.
Make it illegal for the United States to borrow money
Cut ties to the IMF
Cut ties to the World Bank

If the Fed gave its actual arguments against a full audit, they would not have mentioned anything about political independence or economic stability. Instead they would admit they don't want to be audited because they enjoy their current situation too much.

Under the guise of currency control, they are able to help out powerful allies on Wall Street, in exchange for lucrative jobs or who-knows-what favors later on.

An audit would expose the Fed as a massive fraud perpetrated on this country, enriching a privileged few bankers at the top of our economic food chain, and leaving the rest of us with massively devalued dollars which we are forced to use by law. An audit would make people realize that, while Bernie Madoff defrauded a lot of investors for a lot of money, the Fed has defrauded every one of us by destroying the value of our money.

An honest and full accounting of how the money system really works in this country would mean there is not much of a chance the American people would stand for it anymore.

The main stream media traitors feed us a trough of death and debt.
America is Led and Informed by Liars

The president of the United States and his European puppets are doing what they do best--lying through their teeth. The US “mainstream media” repeats the lies as if they were facts. The US “media” is again making itself an accomplice to wars based on fabrications. Apparently, the media's main interest is to please the US government and hopefully obtain a taxpayer bailout of its failing print operations.

As there is no legal basis for action against Iran, the Obama regime is creating another hoax, like the non-existent “Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.” The hoax is that a facility, reported to the IAEA by Iran, is a secret facility for making nuclear weapons.

Just as the factual reports from the weapons inspectors in Iraq were ignored by the Bush Regime, the factual reports from the IAEA are ignored by the Obama Regime.
Like the Bush Regime, the Middle East policy of the Obama Regime is based in lies and deception.

Who is the worst enemy of the American people, Iran or the government in Washington and the media whores who serve it? {more - Paul Craig Roberts}

So to all conspiracy theorists claiming that gold is being manipulated on a daily basis by the Federal Reserve: when it occurs over and over, and is so well documented, it is no longer a theory, it is merely sad.

And the fact that the US government goes to great lengths to hide the illicit dealings of the Federal Reserve, which through its monetary tentacles, has prima facie control over not just US policy but also over sovereign governments, is an unprecedented failure in the checks and balances system that the founding fathers had planned when they created the United States of America.

Yet saddest is that the United States no longer pursues strategic goals that are in the best interest of the majority of its citizens, but merely manipulates other, less powerful nations into a servile existence that only provides gain to a very limited subset of the American financial oligarchy.

It is time for the Fed's unprecedented control over affairs, both global and domestic, to end. {more - Tyler Durden}

The Senate is soon to vote on H.R. 3326 - Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2010 giving the Fed more phony money to print and more interest to be paid to them by taxpayers.

The cycle of death and destruction will continue and we allow it by not eliminating the Fed and the one party American system of government...the war party.

The Roman Polanski diversion

Polanski has been 'on the run' for over 30 years, so why after all this time would the U.S. move to have him extradited? They could have done this long ago if they had wanted to.

Maybe he has made a deal? Trading a little media diversion time for his eventual freedom?

Left: Polanski in the 1960s with his wife, Sharon Tate. Bottom right: Samantha Geimer, who was 13 when Polanski had sex with her in 1977. Top right: Jack Nicholson, in whose home the crime occurred. Photo: AFP/AP

With all of the current news of Iran, Israel, Afghanistan and the HR 1207 - audit the Federal Reserve issue being covered up, this is a good opportunity for an old salacious story to become a week long diversion. Polanski will most likely come away from this with a light slap on the wrist and maybe even get to return to the U.S. as a free man before he dies.

As he is jewish, Polanski will get the usual jewish media spin of 'you rascal you' and then be welcomed back and praised for his 'accomplishments.'

Being a 'holocaust' survivor means getting special treatment. He even made a holocaust tale, The Pianist, and with the Manson family/wife Sharon Tate and friends murders thrown into the mix, well, you know that Polanski is not going to be treated as a common pedophile.

Here is one jewish writer, a Mr. Richard Cohen's take on the story that may be typical:
It ought not to matter that Polanski is a Holocaust survivor. (His mother died at Auschwitz.) After all, countless others survived the Holocaust without committing crimes of any sort, especially ones involving moral depravity.
It ought not to matter, either, that in 1969 Polanski’s wife, the actress Sharon Tate, was horrifically murdered by the Manson family when she was eight months pregnant. This, too, does not excuse moral depravity, although it gives one pause. It ought to give one pause. (Polanski underwent a 42-day psychiatric examination following his 1977 arrest.)
And it ought not to matter that Polanski is a gifted artist. In fact, it ought to be held against him. He seduced -- if that can possibly be the word -- the 13-year-old Samantha Geimer with all the power and authority of a 44-year-old movie director who could make her famous. If this did not impress the girl, it must have impressed her mother. She permitted what was supposed to be a photo shoot.

There are two extenuating circumstances in Polanski’s case. The first is time. It has, after all, been over 30 years and Polanski, now 76, has been clean all that time -- no crimes alleged, no crimes convicted. More importantly, his victim pleads his case. Geimer says, more or less, enough is enough. She does not excuse what Polanski did and does not forgive what he has done, but it is time for us all to move on. “He made a terrible mistake, but he’s paid for it,” she said some years back.
Time does not minimize the crime, which in its details is creepy, but jail would no longer serve a purpose. The victim and the victimizer are united -- they both want clemency. The girl is now a woman, and the man is old, spending his dotage making fools of his champions, who cannot distinguish between sexual freedom and sexual assault. Let Polanski go -- but first let me at him.

The Polanski arrest came just a day after the death of Susan Atkins, a Manson family member involved in the Tate murders. In August, Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, another Manson follower who once pointed a gun at Gerald Ford was released from prison. A coincidence you might say but it is sort of strange.

Could Polanski end up in prison alongside Charlie Manson singing a few old tunes? Nah...

Wasn't Polanski's "Rosemary's Baby" a little overrated anyway, along with the rest of his films?

Al Gore's Karma

Saving the world, one $90,000 car at a time.

Nice...if you're rich.

Somehow I get the feeling that when Al Gore is involved in a 'venture,' it's not in the best interests of the vast majority of the American public.

Automaker with ties to Al Gore receives $528.7 million govt loan
Fisker Automotive, a California manufacturer of luxury electric vehicles with ties to former Vice President Al Gore Jr., will receive more than $500 million in federal loans to develop a plug-in hybrid sports car with a sticker price of nearly $90,000 and a new plug-in hybrid vehicle to be built in the United States.

The Energy Department said last week it would lend $528.7 million to Fisker from a $25 billion fund to develop fuel-efficient vehicles, making the Irvine, California, startup the fourth automaker to receive loans from the program. The government awarded $8 billion in loans to Ford Motor Co., Nissan Motor Co. and Tesla Motors Inc. in June to develop environmentally friendly cars.

"This investment will create thousands of new American jobs and is another critical step in making sure we are positioned to compete for the clean energy jobs of the future," said Energy Secretary Steven Chu. He estimated it would save or create about 5,000 jobs.

Fisker, launched in 2007, is expected to release its first vehicle, the Karma, in the summer of 2010. The $87,900 plug-in luxury sports sedan, which has solar panels on the roof and allows motorists to drive gas-free for 50 miles (80 kilometers), will be built in Finland by Valmet Automotive.

Fisker has raised tens of millions of dollars from top venture capital firms such as Palo Alto Investors and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, of which Gore is a partner. The company has pre-sold more than 1,500 Karmas and recruited a network of 45 dealers.

In a story published in The Wall Street Journal Friday, Gore spokeswoman Kalee Kreider confirmed that the former vice president backs Fisker and purchased a Karma. "He believes that a global shift of the automobile fleet toward electric vehicles, accompanying a shift toward renewable-energy generation, represents an important part of a sensible strategy for solving the climate crisis," she said in a statement.

Fisker will use $169.3 million in loans for engineering costs to complete the Karma and design tools and equipment at Fisker's office in Pontiac, Michigan. The Energy Department said that while the assembly of the Karma will be done overseas, more than 65 percent of the parts will come from U.S. suppliers.

The remaining $359.36 million in loans will be directed to Fisker's Project Nina, an effort by the automaker to develop a lower-cost, higher-volume plug-in hybrid car by late 2012. Fisker has said the next-generation plug-in will sell for $39,900 and be built in the United States with an annual production of about 100,000 vehicles. {more - The Tennessean}

Al Gore has had a good decade. I mean a really good decade. It started out kind of rocky, I mean with him losing the election and all; but after that things just kept getting better and better. He started out in 2001 with an estimated net worth of $1 million dollars. Now that’s pretty good by anyone’s standards. In 2008, however, his net worth was estimated at $100 million dollars. Green has been very kind to Al Gore. {more}

Gore's place in the globalist criminal syndicate and his use of 'global warming' 'climate change' a means to steal more of our money earned from labor is considered a crime against humanity by some.
Where's that old fashioned karma when we need it?

The Daily Dead and The Iran Attack Plan

U.S. Army Spc. Nathaniel Small, 29, from Rockland, Maine, prepares for a patrol with Afghan soldiers in the Jalrez Valley in Afghanistan's Wardak Province on Sunday.

Two U.S. service members died Saturday in the country's south — one from a roadside bomb explosion and the other from an insurgent attack, the NATO-led force said. A British soldier died Sunday from a bomb explosion while patrolling in southern Afghanistan, Britain's Defense Ministry said.

Elsewhere, three French soldiers died in a violent storm in northeastern Afghanistan late Saturday. One soldier was struck by lightning while two were swept away by a rain-swollen river during an operation in Kapisa province, said military spokesman Christophe Prazuck.

This year has been the deadliest of the eight-year war for U.S. and NATO troops. The latest six deaths bring to 64 the number of NATO troops killed this month. {more}

Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal, perhaps the U.S. premier war cheerleading outfit, touts the possible plans and justifications for an attack on Iran.

The Iran Attack Plan

There seems to be a lack of WSJ articles about the Israeli nuclear weapons program. Shouldn't that also be included in the debate? If there was such a thing as a main stream media 'free press' it would be.

Yom Kippur Alert

The cancellation of The Liberty Hour with Mark Glenn and Phillip Tourney on RBN has an upside. It confirms that what many call the 'alternative' media sometimes is not as independent as we would like to think.

Emergency Alert: Yom Kippur Extended to Two Days!
The Seat of

The Seat of the Holy Overseers and Lovers of Yerushalime Secret High Implementers of the Talmud Council

1. The Holy Overseers and Lovers of Yerushalime Secret High Implementers of the Talmud Council has issued an emergency binding declaration to all Zionist Jews declaring that the Day of Atonement for 2009, set to begin at sunset Sunday, September 27, has been lengthened to two days this year. So it will now end on Tuesday night instead of Monday night. This is a dire emergency and all lovers of the Talmud have been directed to get the word out immediately. John Stadtmiller at RBN will no doubt broadcast this information all day today and tomorrow on the Rabbinical Broadcasting Network, but just in case you all have quit listening to that network the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr really wanted to help get the word out.

Why this emergency declaration? Speaker of the Council, Nancy Pelosi, Likud, California, told Stadtmiller on RBN that “With all the evil shit we’ve pulled this year, we knew that one day of asking for forgiveness wouldn’t be enough.”

Council Minority Whip Eric Cantor, Likud, Virginia, barely back from his trip to Israel and without even having had the time to wipe all the shit off of his nose, agreed saying “I think what tipped the scales this time was butchering all those women and children in Gaza.” Though Jane Traitor Harman, Likud, California, disagreed. “It’s all the money we’ve looted from the US taxpayers this past year plus the Bernie Madoff scandal. Yeah, we kicked ass this year. So we really need to say we are sorry. Plus, it’ll give us another day off from work.”

Council members on their way to the historic meeting

Eliot Engel, a leader in the US Knesset as well as a member of the Council, chimed in saying “Jane, you ignorant slut. It was the organ selling fiasco that made me vote in favor the two-day resolution. Man, we were getting away with murder on that one but that inglorious basterd at Mantiq al-Tayr exposed us.” Engel added, if you don’t believe me, go here.

US President, Benjamin Netanyahu, had his own interesting take. “Look, Mantiq, it really is about the settlements. We are going to take every fucking inch of the land and we will kill or drive out, preferably kill, every single Palestinian living in Ersatz Israel. We need the two days to atone for the future as well as the past.”

Council member and Rahm Emmanuel confidant, Steven Israel, Likud, New York, just laughed when he heard what President Netanyahu had said. Oh, before quoting Council member Israel, I want to remind you that the highlight of this traitor’s life was being Michael Collins Piper’s roommate years ago. Piper has been in recovery every since. But I digress.

Israel said that the two days were needed because of the Charles Freeman fiasco that Israel himself (and itself) caused. “Yeah, we fucked Freeman alright. It was almost as much fun as giving away state secrets to Israelis who give us blow jobs. ” Harman agreed “Yeah, the whole espionage thing on behalf of Israel is huge. I sure got caught with my panties down” she said laughing and sipping Israeli wine while eating Sabra hummus. “But” she added “I am just one paid-for Israeli whore among many. I can’t even compete with some of the guys. Maybe next year – in Jerusalem.”

Steve Rosen, let off Jew-free for spying, agreed. “Man, I thought my ass was grass for a while. But I’m free at last and can get back to work. And as for Charles Freeman, fuck him. Ooops, I’m sorry. So sorry. Have to go atone” he said, laughing like Tom Cruise.

Ben Shalom Bernanke, a council member and who actually owns the United States, said “The truth is, and Rahm Emmanuel will confirm this, the dirtiest thing we did, aside from the disappearing trillions of dollars, was put a guy in the White House whose name rhymes with the most famous terrorist in the world and who is so blackmailable, if I can coin the phrase – pun intended on both counts – that he has to do everything we tell him. We even gave him a copy of Michael Collins Piper’s book “Final Judgment” and told him to read it (if he can). We think he got the point. And I got reappointed. Fuck you taxpayers.”

John Hagee, the third chief Rabbi of Israel, had one last thing to add. He said, man we dicked with the United States and the world so f’ing much this year that not only do we need two days to atone, we’ll even have to say the kol nidr twice – once at the start of each day.”

As he always does, Rahm Israel Emmanuel got in the last word “With what we’ve got planned for the coming year, next year we are gonna need three days.”

Why Appalachia Hates Feds

I don't know if the reason for the death of a census taker in Kentucky is as deeply connected to the history of Appalachia as Ms. Mellor hints at in this article. Right now there's too much media conjecture and too many anonymous sources putting out information or disinformation.

She does portray an area whose character is not only unique but is also somewhat reflective of the exploitation and problems of the poor all over the country. Distrust of the federal government is ingrained in the folks of Appalachia. They were just a little ahead of the curve in that respect.

by Gail McGowan Mellor

On September 12, a federal census-taker, Bill Sparkman, was found nude, dead and tied by his neck to a tree in someone else's family cemetery in the Appalachian foothills of southeastern Kentucky, with his empty truck nearby. Binding him with duct tape and gagging him, a person or persons had taped his federal census ID to his head and shoulder and with a felt tip pen had scrawled FED on his chest. Network reporters, arriving in the area of the Daniel Boone National Forest, have expressed shock that the fresh-faced outdoorsy people in the area so outspokenly hate the federal government. Small wonder. The U.S. government began its life back in 1791 by shafting the Appalachian area. People have not forgotten it, perhaps because it has yet to stop happening.

That is one part of the story needing exploration. Other aspects of this go far beyond Kentucky.

Citizens across the nation are waking up to how constitutionally powerful they are, and there is magic and danger in that. The Kentucky Constitution -- echoing the Declaration of Independence and other state constitutions -- expresses the situation this way, "All power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority and instituted for their peace, safety, happiness and the protection of property. For the advancement of these ends, they have at all times an inalienable and indefeasible right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may deem proper."

That power can bring enormous social transformation, largely non-violently. The people refers to the majority; inalienable means that the power is there even if it has not been used in centuries, and indefeasible means that it remains intact no matter what legal dodge is used to deny it. A hundred years ago, citizens were confronted by U.S. government which was massively corrupt at every level and corporate monopolies with armies, in a ravaged environment where even deer were nearly extinct. In what they called the "Second American Revolution," they organized by the millions, using freedom of press and assembly to create civic, labor, consumer, stockholder, women's, civil rights, public health, occupational safety, food safety and environmental movements, grabbing guns only when shot at, and sticking with it through five wars and three major depressions. Combined with corporate dynamism, the result by the 1970s was the world's most prosperous nation, with the largest, best educated, most politically active middle class that the planet had ever seen.

Such inherent clout plus building anger at the federal government however could also lead to political violence, especially when demagogues try to gin it up. Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi [D-CA] says that the potential is increasing, and some believe that the Sparkman killing may be the first blow. If so, in Appalachian at least, long overdue moral justice may be as important as criminal justice in defusing it. ....

Kentucky was a Mohawk word for "meadow" referring to a vast central tableland of long grasses with tiny, exquisitely-fragrant, blue buds, fed by mountain streams filtered through limestone, with its long northern edge cut by the sinuous Ohio River Valley. At Pittsburgh to the northeast, two smaller rivers came together to produce the Ohio which flowed 1000 miles southwest to the mammoth Mississippi, where Kentucky tapered to a tip. Pioneers called the area the Bluegrass Plateau, and animals including eastern buffalo thrived on it and the forested plains to the west and south. Few Native nations had ever put homes there, but most loved the hunting, using it as a communal refrigerator. Pittsburgh had held settlers for a century by the time the country began. Pioneers like Daniel Boone though were just coming from the east coast into Kentucky, pushing up over the spine of the heavily forested eastern mountains, building forts and cabins.

They were trailblazers, yet the new U.S. Congress taxed all these small farmers at a 50% higher rate than it levied on plantation owners like George Washington, and in 1791 it also taxed their whiskey, charging small producers much more per gallon than large producers like Washington. Whiskey was a storage device. In the Appalachian mountain and river valley mists, drying a corn crop or distilling it was imperative; otherwise it rotted. Living in a barter system, pioneers had little money, so when the U.S. federal tax collectors demanded cash, many settlers were forced to sell their farms. Since the U.S. Constitution allowed only white men with property to vote, pioneers who were taxed off their farms also lost their rights. When those in Pittsburgh backed by Kentucky pioneers rose up in armed rebellion, President Washington himself led 13,000 men against them--as large an army as the one that he had thrown against the British.

However coincidentally, in Kentucky, some pioneer families banded into villages in inaccessible mountains and did not contact outsiders for another 100 years.

The rest of Kentucky and other nearby pioneer areas meanwhile picked up the ball of the incomplete revolution and ran with it. The U.S. Constitution allowed slavery, but Ohio, Indiana and Illinois constitutionally prohibited slavery in their areas--nearly half a century before the Civil War. The Constitution had not mentioned corporations or political parties. The Indiana Constitution like others not only forbid political contributions by corporations and limited their lifespans but outlawed for-profit banks. The framers of the Constitution had feared direct democracy. In pioneer areas, white men without property won the right to vote, and for the country's first eighty years, citizens ran their towns through self-organizing volunteer groups and took turns representing each other. Convinced that an educated electorate was crucial to democracy, Indiana legislated the first public school system.

Life for those self-isolated in the farthest mountains went on with a kind of timelessness, as the resourceful people built cabins, hunted the towering forests, made quilts, had clog dances and sang the ballads of Shakespeare's time. Near Tennessee, there was a waterfall with one of only two moonbows in the world. Eighty years after the Revolution, though, catastrophe struck. The eastern half of the country exploded in the Civil War, either "to hold the union together" or "to pull away from a dictatorial federal government"--either way, Kentucky stayed neutral as 600,000 people killed each other--and New York City was hit by a tsunami of Irish immigration.

In the upheaval, NYC Democratic Party "Boss" William Tweed began selling all the city's elected and appointed offices and government contracts to the highest bidder, getting a kickback from each deal, while his gangs beat up or burned out those who did not pay; and the starving immigrants whom he fed voted early and often. He made a fortune before he died in jail. Carried by Irish immigrants, the boss system next helped Big Coal and the railroads take over Appalachian governments. The central part of the mountains, extending from Pennsylvania to the edge of the deep south, were rich in high quality coal, the main fuel of the industrial revolution worldwide. Corporations defrauded families of their farms, reducing them to workers in dangerous mines.

Sucking all the profits, while getting whopping subsidies and not paying taxes, Big Coal kept the people in dire poverty. The federal government did nothing to protect them, but when the Prohibition of alcohol was passed, federal agents suddenly appeared with guns in remote parts of the mountains in order to murder folks in front of their families for the new crime of making whiskey.

Democracy and capitalism thrived on public infrastructure, as the federal government dredged the great waterways and made canals and locks to allow boats to travel freely and for free; backed private transcontinental railroads in the late 1800s, created the federal aircraft control system, federally-funded the privately-built interstate highways, and built the then spontaneously-developed Internet. Community and commerce burst into life on them, and Kentucky cities like Louisville, Lexington and Newport thrived. Little of this however reached Appalachian Kentucky except rural electrification, waterworks and welfare.

The government meanwhile repealed Prohibition, only to outlaw marijuana. Kentucky farmers had been producing hemp for twine and rope, a mainstay of the U.S. Navy in WWII, and peacefully smoking its buds since the area was settled.* Pushed underground, the skilled farmers still made a billion dollars on an untaxed crop in 1980 alone.** Instead of leaving it legal, thus getting much-needed revenue for Kentucky, and letting Kentucky farmers compete the Latin American cartels out of business however, the government made it a felony. The prisons have long since overflowed, backing up into the jails, which are overflowing too.

There is too little work. Coal mine jobs have dried up because huge machines have come in, removing whole mountain ranges, dumping them into streams, in order to reach the coal that America still craves. What jobs there are shatter bodies. In an area with too few doctors, unregulated "pain clinics" thrive, addicting people to prescription drugs like Oxycontin, and some folks slip out into the forest, growing pot and making lethal meth to sell. Quietly religious, in touch with family members long since flung far and wide into other states, the reflexively polite majority welcome strangers. Yet the press makes cartoon characters of them, the Beverly Hillbillies shooting at revenooers. There is nothing funny about it. Reporters who come into the area say it's "lawless." More exactly, people have a learned contempt for laws that criminalize previously legal activities and legalize corruption.

Teacher Bill Sparkman was from here, moonlighting as a federal census taker in order to pay the bills, his heart set on empowering area children. The Federal Bureau of Investigation [FBI] has been investigating, but the Sparkman death was not announced until almost two weeks after Sparkman's body was found, indicating conflicting trails.

ed. notes...

* Hemp and marijuana are separate crops, so whether the early settlers raised both should be a question more than a definitive statement.
** The $ values applied to marijuana crops are usually from government sources and are often overestimated to hype the 'problem.'

The True Evil Doers
[In order for an American resistance movement, or any resistance, to actually challenge the "True Evil Doers," connected with Rockefeller and Rothschild, they must first overcome the political divisions which have been created, that is the hallmark of The Beast network. Republicans and Democrats, capitalists and communists, right and left, Heritage Foundation and MoveOn...these are not natural divisions, they are bi-products of manipulation, created to keep us from uniting against them. Always operating on the principle of the Hegelian dialectic, they promote opposites, always intending to achieve a "compromise" or "synthesis" between them. The monsters sow division among the unwary normal folk.
The left/progressives fight the evil of the right/conservatives, never stopping to realize that it was the conservative press that first sounded the alarm about the Rock/Roth conspiracy. (SEE: Antony Sutton) We the People have been deceived into hating our neighbors, instead of hating the inhuman authors of our hatred. Both left and right fight against the many ongoing wrongs of the current administration as a patriotic expression of dissent. We fight the "other" because we feel that they are destroying our Nation. What the leading NYT War Monger was saying about Iraq in 2002 and 2003...sound familiar?...500,000 more of our kids needed!
The 500,000 number came out on Thursday and on Friday, right on cue, the dead guy, Bin Laden speaks from the grave. Man, has he got a sense of timing or what?

I imagine that as soon as General McChrystal gets his new bullet-stopper's, Bin Laden will return to being worm food.... until the next troop increase request.

Lucky for OBOMBA that they released a several years old report about Iran that managed to clog up the news cycle endlessly.

If one was cynical, one might think it was pre-planned to divert attention away from that 500,000 more troops needed. {more - Greg Bacon}

More Lies, More Deception
The US government's complaints about Iran have reached a new level of shrillness. On September 25 Obama declared: "Iran is breaking rules that all nations must follow."

Who is breaking the rules? Iran or the United States?

Iran is insisting that the US government abide by the non-proliferation treaty that the US originated and pushed and that Iran signed. But the US government, which is currently engaged in three wars of aggression and has occupying troops in a number of other countries, insists that Iran, which is invading and occupying no country, cannot be trusted with nuclear energy capability, because the capability might in the future lead to nuclear weapon capability, like Israel's, India's, and Pakistan's--all non-signatories to the nuclear proliferation treaty, countries that, unlike Iran, have never submitted to IAEA inspections. Indeed, at this very moment the Israeli government is screaming and yelling "anti-Semite" to the suggestion that Israel submit to IAEA inspections. Iran has submitted to the IAEA inspections for years.

Not to be outdone in idiocy, out of Obama's mouth jumped Orwellian doublespeak: "The Iranian government must now demonstrate through deeds its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to international standards and international law."

The incongruity blows the mind. Here is Obama, with troops engaged in wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan demanding that a peaceful nation at war with no one demonstrate "its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to international standards and international law."

It is the US government and its NATO puppet states, and militarist Israel, of course, that need to be held accountable to international law. Under international law the US, its NATO puppets, and Israel are war criminal governments. There is no doubt about it. The record is totally clear. The US, Israel, and the NATO puppet states have committed military aggression exactly as did Germany's Third Reich, and they have murdered large numbers of civilians. Following the Fuhrer's script, "the great democratic republics" have justified these acts of lawlessness with lies and deceptions. {more - Paul Craig Roberts}

US and European powers threaten Iran
In what has all the hallmarks of an orchestrated political provocation, the United States, Britain and France, with the support of Germany, denounced a supposedly secret Iranian nuclear plant, threatened stepped-up economic sanctions and possible military action unless the facility was immediately open to inspection.

This time, however, France has joined the US and Britain in the manufacture of a casus belli.
Both Brown and Sarkozy made even harsher threats than Obama at their joint press conference. Brown demanded the drawing of “a line in the sand” and denounced what he called a shocking “level of deception by the Iranian government and the scale of what we believe is the breach of international commitments.” This from a man who happily embraced all the lies peddled by Bush and Blair throughout the launching and waging of the war with Iraq.

A major argument being made behind the scenes—albeit openly in the US right-wing press—is that sanctions are the only alternative to an Israeli air attack on Iran that would have incalculable consequences for the peoples of the Middle East, and the entire world

A column posted on the web site of the Wall Street Journal, written by Pentagon consultant Anthony Cordesman, suggested that an Israeli attack on Iran could include nuclear weapons.

“There are reports that Israel is increasing the range-payload of its nuclear-armed missiles and is developing sea-based nuclear-armed cruise missiles for its submarines,” he observed. He added, “While Iran is larger than Israel, its population centers are so vulnerable to Israeli thermonuclear weapons that Israel already is a major ‘existential’ threat to Iran.”

The Washington Post took note of the apocalyptic tone of the speech to the UN General Assembly Thursday by Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, which its reporter described as a “final warning to the world,” saying that it “could one day be seen as a milestone in the Mideast’s march toward war.” {more - Patrick Martin}

Evidence emerges that seasonal flu vaccine increases risk of H1N1 swine flu
(NaturalNews) To hear it from the vaccine makers, their vaccines are perfectly safe and have no side effects. A person can receive an unlimited number of vaccines (10, 100 or even 1000) and have absolutely no ill effects, they claim. This is the quack science mythology upon which mass vaccination policies are currently based. “Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall“…Pathological Narcissism as the Sparkplug of Armageddon
Well, if we are to go by the “official records”–meaning the Bible–ever since these people pushed and elbowed their way into 1st place ahead of their contemporaries it has been nothing short of disastrous, both then and now. War, exploitation, deception, greed, envy, assassination, genocide, despoilment, enslavement–all these and more–the same bitter fruits our forefathers dealt with yesterday that we are dealing with today. The only real difference between then and now is that 4,000 years ago the Chosenites had neither nuclear weapons nor control of the world’s economy as they do today.

And yet, the lone individual responsible for bringing this venture about–both past and present-is supposed to be pleased with this? Are we really to believe (as some think) He gets some kind of sick pleasure seeing his priceless merchandise–meaning the innocent men, women and children in places such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza, Lebanon and elsewhere–squandered and wasted (literally in the millions) and that He wants even more of it in places such as Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere? That He fantasizes about seeing entire swaths of stable, productive civilizations being turned into caldrons of misery or that He shrieks with glee at the sight of maimed children–the same children He created with a mere thought–robbed of their legs, arms, faces, etc, by psychopaths who believe this is all part of the “Divine Plan”?

Well of course, there are plenty of nutcases these days who would say “yes” to the above questions and who maintain with the same kind of fervency as yesteryear’s flat-earthers that indeed the Big Guy sits up there, beer in one hand and a wad of popcorn in the other as He reclines and watches the light show down below. {more - Mark Glenn via The Peoples Voice}

The Rebel....Opinions

The U.S. Moves a Step Closer to the 'Final Confrontation'
The world seems to have learnt nothing from the mistakes of the Iraq war and the deceit that led up to it. The Middle East is headed down the path to disaster that has been instigated by Zionists and neoconservatives.

This is not about Iran pursuing nuclear weapons; this is about Israel seeking regime change in Iran and using the ‘Iran has a nuclear weapons program’ meme to con the world into bringing about that regime change for them. Once regime change has been affected, Israel will feel free to deal with Hezbollah and Hamas. This they will do using any attack against Iran as cover arguing that in doing so they would be fighting a pre-emptive war – a war that this time there will be no going back from.

The world should wake up before this nonsense blows up in all of our faces – yet again.

US 'Troop Targets' May Force Conscription on Afghanistan

Afghan Defense Ministry Drawing Up Plans to Draft Thousands

US General McChrystal says it is important to avoid the appearance of being an occupation force, but with his policy edicts essentially poised to force tens if not hundreds of thousands of Afghans into forced combat fighting a war on the behalf of the US it seems impossible to see it any other way. {more}
A draft here may be the catalyst for a real public uprising against the wars. Remember Vietnam? Being forced to kill or be killed for lies doesn't go over very well.
Of course, a new major 'false flag' attack on our shores could silence much of the dissent against a draft.

Deer head delivered in protest to Shawnee Mission Park officials

Animal rights advocate provides example of coming deer harvest.

Yes, it's the severed head of a deer.

Jason Miller, an animal rights activist, got the deer head from a meat processor and brought it to Shawnee Mission Park today.
He wanted to graphically demonstrate what is about to happen to 75 percent of a herd of deer in Shawnee Mission Park that is estimated to be about 700.
Sharpshooters will begin controlled shooting of the deer next month to reduce a population that park officials say is out of control.
Miller placed the deer head in a basket and left it on the counter of the park district's headquarters. {more}

In light of the reportage from the S&MSM (cough-Zio-Press) covering the presentations from Gaddafi and Ahmanedijad at the U.N., it might be a good idea to take another look at the Lockerbie bombing and then compare that to the coverage of the event by the same Monopoly Men who give you the aforementioned S&MSM news, which they cook up in another Petri Dish that’s been used for so many viruses, media lies and STDs that it resembles a Madonna concert in full swing.

Israel mass murdered many more women and children in Gaza, up close and personal …and using banned weapons and… somehow it is still the fault of the Palestinians for having had the nerve to even be there to die in the first place when there was thousands of miles of empty sand around them, which they could have marched off into and died in …without Israel having been forced to kill and dismember them instead.

We’re beginning to find out, or we’ve known for some time, that just about every disaster; terror attack and assassination (and the list goes on) have been carried out by the same people. You can see who they are after …and you can watch the steps they have taken to get around to it but there’s one thing you don’t see much of and that’s people realizing that they are next or… next after them or next after them. {more - Les Visible}

The Daily Dead: 5 more Americans killed in Afghanistan

We've said it all before. More dead for lies. More troops for the grinder?

KABUL — Insurgents killed another five US soldiers in Afghanistan's southern Taliban stronghold, NATO said Friday, with their commander poised to request more troops to avoid failure in the eight-year war.

Two soldiers were killed outright and three later died of their injuries in a trio of separate incidents on Thursday, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said Friday.

"Two members were killed and one died from wounds as a result of an improvised explosive device (IED) detonation," ISAF said, referring to the remote-controlled bombs that have become the scourge of troops in Afghanistan.

"One service member died of gunshot wounds from an insurgent attack and one service member died of wounds sustained in an insurgent attack while on patrol," the statement added. {more -AFP}

Will today be bring us closer to abolishing the Federal Reserve?

Finally, the house Financial Services Committee will begin hearings on HR 1207 today. I have my doubts whether the main stream media will give this any significant attention. There's the G20 diversion and the domestic terrorists diversion as well as it being on a Friday, the traditional 'news dump' day. Going to the CSPAN site, it's hard to tell if they will even cover it but there will be webcasts.

Still, it will be historic and despite the efforts to bury the story for the general public, the issue of the criminal Fed is one of the most important of our lifetime and will not die.

Thomas Woods will be one of the witnesses.
An excerpt from his prepared statement:

If there is any truth to the idea of Fed independence, it lay in precisely this: the Fed may reward favored friends and constituencies with trillions of dollars in various kinds of assistance, while keeping the public completely in the dark. If that is the independence we’re talking about, no self-respecting American would hesitate for a moment to challenge it.

I hope we are not asking Americans to believe that the decisions to bail out various financial institutions over the past two years, and in particular to allow them to become depository institutions overnight that they might qualify for assistance, were made on the basis of a pure devotion to the common good and were not political at all. Most Americans, not unreasonably, seem convinced of another thesis: that Goldman Sachs, for instance, might be just a little bit more politically well connected than the rest of us.

The superstitious reverence that Americans have been taught to have for the Federal Reserve is unworthy of the dignity of a free people. The Fed enjoys a government-granted monopoly on the creation of legal-tender money. It is not an unreasonable imposition for Americans to demand to know about the activities of such an institution. It is common sense. {more}
The opposition witness today is Scott G. Alvarez, General Counsel Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He too has a prepared statement.

Carl Herman has a series of articles which give a very relevant overview of monetary reform.
His basic statement is:

"The financial crisis in America today could be over almost instantaneously through monetary reform. Monetary reform is a fundamental shift in how America creates money. The shift is from a Robber Baron-era design of banks creating credit to lend to us at interest and ever-increasing debt, to our community (government) creating it for the direct payment of public goods and services. The benefits of monetary reform are conservatively $1 TRILLION every year, the end of the national debt, and full employment."
Many in congress, even a number of the co-sponsors, want to water down HR 1207. The Fed will fight to maintain their control through the usual means, bribery and blackmail, and possibly something even worse.

Will Congress fail the American people once again?

Census worker murder in Kentucky raises questions

A 'false flag' murder to demonize the anti-government movement?  Whether it is or not, the spin is out in full force. This happened on Sept. 12 but the media is just now picking up on it. Just in time for the G20.

The word "fed" was scrawled across his chest?

The slain Census worker, William E. Sparkman Jr., was a 51-year-old single father who once battled Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Sparkman, from London, Kentucky, worked two jobs while supporting his family. The part-time Census field worker and teacher was found Sept. 12 in a remote patch of the Daniel Boone National Forest in rural southeast Kentucky.

Sparkman’s mother says the following about why he was hung:
“I have my own ideas, but I can’t say them out loud. Not at this point. Right now, what I’m doing, I’m just waiting on the FBI to come to some conclusion.”

The Census suspended door-to-door interviews in the rural area while investigators tried to determine whether the death was a killing or a suicide, and if a killing, whether the motive was anti-government sentiment.

"My immediate curiosity is whether this had something to do with a moonshine or drug operation," said Robert Stacy McCain in The Other McCain, "rather than 'anti-government sentiment.'" Drug dealers don't like to have people snooping around -- and that's what Census workers do. So wait before you swallow "any kind of politicized Let's-Blame-Glenn-Beck speculation." {more}

A colleague of a Census worker found hanged in Kentucky describes him as an "innocent person" who saw only good in the world.

A man who knew Sparkman from working at a local school said he'd warned him to be careful making his Census rounds. As he put it, "sometimes people can view someone with any government agency as 'the government."' He says he worried that Sparkman might meet up with "the wrong character along the way." {more}

ATF tells Tennessee that a federal gun law trumps the state’s

NASHVILLE -- The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has told Tennessee gun dealers to disregard a state statute that exempts firearms made and sold inside Tennessee from federal gun laws and registration.

The ATF says the federal laws still apply regardless of the state's move.

The Tennessee legislature considered and approved several bills this year to reduce restrictions on firearms, including one bill that its sponsors labeled the "Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act." It passed overwhelmingly -- 87-1 in the House and 22-7 in the Senate -- despite warnings by some lawmakers that it could subject Tennessee citizens to federal prosecution and imprisonment.

"This bill simply asserts that if a firearms and/or ammunition is made totally within the state of Tennessee, then the federal government has no jurisdiction over that item in any fashion, so long as it remains in the state and outside of interstate commerce," Sen. Mae Beavers, R-Mt. Juliet, the bill's sponsor, said on the Senate floor when it passed there in June.

The bill was a two-fer for conservatives in the legislature: a gun bill and a state sovereignty bill rolled into one.
"An effort by the federal government to regulate intrastate commerce under the guise of powers implied by the interstate commerce clause could only result in encroachment of the state's power to regulate commerce within its borders," said Beavers.

But ATF Asst. Director Carson W. Carroll, head of the agency's enforcement programs and services, sent an "Open Letter to all Tennessee Firearms Licensees" a month later that explained the agency's position on the law.

"The act purports to exempt personal firearms, firearms accessories and ammunition manufactured in the state and which remain in the state from most federal firearms laws and regulations," Carroll wrote. "However, because the act conflicts with federal firearms laws and regulations, federal law supercedes the act and all provisions of the (federal) Gun Control Act and the National Firearms Act and their corresponding regulations continue to apply."

The letter is posted on the Tennessee Firearms Association's Web site with this unsigned commentary by the association: "The ATF -- as expected -- has issued a letter in which it disregards the 10th Amendment restrictions on federal power (as seems to be the trend since the late 1930s) and has notified Tennessee's federal firearms dealers that the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act is meaningless. ... We expected such from a tyranny that no longer lives within the bounds of its express authority."
But ATF Nashville Special Agent-in-Charge James M. Cavanaugh said several U.S. Supreme Court rulings have upheld the federal gun laws.

"The Constitution says the Supreme Court interprets the law," he said. "The ATF hasn't ruled this, the Supreme Court has, and we're a law enforcement agency."

Cavanaugh said Tennessee has nearly 2,000 licensed gun dealers and manufacturers and the agency has received no complaints from them about the letter.

"It's analogous to a speed limit. If the speed limit on the interstate is set at 70, a city along the interstate can't come along and say there is no speed limit on the interstate through our city. The highway patrol could still enforce the speed limit," he said.

Although Montana was the first state to pass its version of the Firearms Freedom Act, Tennessee was the first to implement it because the Montana law specifies an effective date of Oct. 1.

Although the bill passed overwhelmingly -- and with no debate in the House -- it had its critics in the Senate who warned of its likely outcome. And Cavanaugh said some legislators inquired about the bill before its passage.

"If one of the citizens of our state reads about the passage of this legislation and uses it and relies upon it and goes out and does something ... couldn't they be convicted under federal law?" asked Sen. Andy Berke, D-Chattanooga. "I see this as a real danger to our citizens."'

Who really is behind 'Russia Today'?

 Matthew Jarvie addresses the same issue I have been curious about and maybe he is on to something here. Nothing is ever as it seems on the surface.

Dissecting the New Age

Russia Today has gained huge popularity over the past year among followers of the "alternative" media. While RT does feature news pieces about topics not regularly discussed in the American mainstream media, for a while I have wondered why the Russian media would have an interest in things pertaining to the New World Order, such as the manufactured banking crisis and the reality behind 9/11. After all, hasn't Russia several times called for a New World Order and a one world currency?

Russia Today is sponsored by the state-owned Russian news agency, RIA-Novosti. Novosti was, and still is, essentially an arm of the KGB. Many believe the KGB ceased to exist with the fall of the Iron Curtain, but those who know better understand that this just isn't the case. The Soviet system was never abolished, rather moved underground. The KGB simply changed its name and is now called the FSB (Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation).

It is important to remember that communism was born not out of Russia, but the operational centers of the international banking elite who work primarily out of New York and London. Communism was sicced upon an unwitting Russian people to create an antithesis to the thesis of capitalism, and a bogeyman that has been used to push a fascist/totalitarian globalist agenda. The people of the West could never know that the real enemy existed within, so the global elite used Russia as their scapegoat by funding the rise of the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. Many people still believe that Russia exists outside of globalist control, but nothing could be further from the truth since Russia has been under the control of the bankers since the 1917 revolution. It is simply Russia's purpose in the dialectic to appear as a looming threat to "western democracy," when it is controlled by the same people who control the US and the rest of the world from behind the scenes.

Communism was designed to have the appearance of spreading outward from Russia, to eventually ensnare the world in its proverbial net. The supposed fall of communism is one of the biggest ruses in modern history that was perpetrated on the people of the world by the globalists. While communism was once used as an overt threat (bogeyman) to bring us closer to global governance, it has since been transformed into a covert threat to carry on the same agenda as everyone looks to the Middle East as the latest manufactured threat to "world peace." The goal has been the eventual creation of a global fascist system that would be the synthesis of capitalism and communism, resulting in a system that is neither of the two but rather completely new altogether, called the Third Way.

So it's quite obvious that Russia has played an important role in the rise of the New World Order. It has served as an outside bogeyman, a beta testing grounds, and an operational base for the deviants seeking to bring about their world totalitarian state. One of the objectives of Russia's KGB (and the CIA in the US and MI6 in the UK) was the infiltration of Western media (on behalf of the globalists) -- the goal being to demoralize and soften up the people, making them more malleable and open to the "change" offered by their controllers.

In the mid-80s, researcher G. Edward Griffin interviewed Soviet KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov (aka Tomas Schuman), where he discussed, among other things, the process of demoralization and the media being integral to achieving these goals. Bezmenov himself worked as a propagandist for Russia's Novosti -- which served to produce false news stories -- and was well aware of the techniques used for manipulating people's thoughts and opinions.

People must realize that all effective propaganda contains large amounts of truth in order to be convincing to its audience. It's how the information is presented and spun that determines the outcome.

Is it possible that a news network such as the Novosti-controlled Russia Today serves a purpose that is the same or similar to what the so-called "Truth" Movement serves? What if the ultimate goal was not to inform and educate, but rather demoralize so people will be more likely to accept a solution that's offered by the same people who created the problems to begin with? While it is true that many people have "woken up" in recent years, we must ask ourselves what it really means to have "woken up." How many people that have woken up to the rampant corruption behind the Federal Reserve and the truth behind 9/11, really have a good understanding of the bigger picture and how it relates to the Hegelian dialectic? I would say of the people who have "woken up," few have an adequate understanding of how the system really works and therefore are more likely to accept a phony "solution" to what they see as a system that is broken and beyond repair (which it is).

Even the Western mainstream media has given credence, albeit little, to alternative viewpoints pertaining to 9/11 and the banking crisis, which tells me there probably isn't too big of a concern among those at the top about this information getting out. Otherwise, why would people like Alex Jones be given guest appearances on networks such as FOX, CNN and others?

I have expressed the belief in numerous previous articles that the Truth Movement is controlled opposition being steered and directed without the knowledge of its participants for the following purposes:

* To marginalize and discredit the truth and independent-minded truthseekers with sensationalism, wild antics and bogus rumors.

* To incite people to act out of fear through violence, creating an order out of chaos situation that plays into the system's agenda.

* To lead people into another false paradigm where they are unable to see the big picture and look for non-existent solutions within the system.

* To break people down and demoralize them with constant fear-mongering, so they are even more easy to manipulate and deceive.

People have e-mailed me regarding my criticism of the Truth Movement, saying things like, "You don't want the truth to get out." Of course that is nonsense, and I ask those of you making these accusations: When have popular movements ever not been controlled? If people want the truth, they're not going to get it being blind followers of a movement or self-proclaimed "leader," or adherents to a particular outlet of information, be it the "alternative" media or otherwise. People need to do their own research and start looking into things for themselves. Just because someone purports to be a proponent of the truth, does not mean that truth doesn't come with a hidden agenda or serves the sole purpose of informing people.

UN Theater...Qaddafi

The UN plays all sides of the globalist agenda;  a truth teller, a propagandist, cover up artist, a one world currency and government enabler...but sometimes it becomes a sort of street theater of the absurd in which truth and fiction merge into something interesting to behold. Today, Colonel Qaddafi/Gaddafi had a rambling diatribe for the ages.

Of course he played right in the hands of those who would attempt to portray him and anyone else who may have the same ideas as.....psycho. It could be he is in on the game and this is the role he plays.

I thought much of his rant was 'dead on' while some of it was just confusing.

 Gaddafi to UN: "All the terrorists in the house put your hands up?"

Gaddafi suggests Israel behind JFK assassination
Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi called for a reopening of the investigations into the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., during his speech at the UN on Wednesday, and pointed the finger at Israel in Kennedy's death.

In a wide-ranging speech that took place just after President Obama's address to the UN, and which ran much longer than scheduled, Gaddafi asked why Jack Ruby, "an Israeli," killed Kennedy's assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, and suggested Kennedy may have been killed because of his interest in "investigating" an Israeli nuclear program.

"Why did this Israeli kill the killer of Jack Kennedy? The whole world should know that Kennedy wanted to investigate the nuclear reactor of the Israeli demon," Gaddafi said.

Gaddafi also called for a reinvestigation into the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., whom Gaddafi described as a "black rebel."

"His killing was a plot, and we should know why he was killed and who killed him," Gaddafi said. {more}

On the topic of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Gadhafi said the two-state solution was impractical geographically because Israel and Palestine “overlapped.” Instead, he called for the creation of a single democratic state in which both Jews and Arabs lived together.

“The Ariel Sharon and Yasser Arafat generation is over,” he said, referring to the now comatose former prime minister of Israel and the late leader of the Palestinian Authority. “Look at the Palestinian and Israeli youth; they want to live under one state.” {more}

An hour into his address, Colonel Qaddafi began calling for investigations into each of the major wars since the United Nations was founded: the Korean War, the war over the Suez Canal, the Vietnam War and the ongoing war in Iraq, which he called “the mother of all evils.”

The Afghan war, too, he said, should be investigated for possible prosecution. At times, Colonel Qaddafi veered into conspiracy, saying, for example, that the H1N1 influenza virus, also called swine flu, might be a military or corporate weapon that got out of a lab,

But then he adds....??

For Mr. Obama personally, however, he had only warm words, calling on the collected nations to welcome “our son” on the occasion of his first United Nations appearance. “We are content and happy if Obama can stay forever as the president of America,” he said, and added that he feared America would return to its old ways after the end of Mr. Obama’s term. {more}

“We are not committed to obeying or adhering to resolutions by the Security Council in its composition right now,” Qaddafi said. “It should not be called the Security Council, it should be called the ‘terror council.’ ”

“The swine virus may have gotten out in the open after escaping from a laboratory. It may have been put together in a lab by the military…. We do sometimes make viruses in a laboratory and then they make viruses for capitalist companies who will make vaccinations and make money.” {more}

The entire video of Qaddafi's speech can be seen starting here.

The "Steel City" gives new meaning to the police state

The folks who want to speak out at the G20 in Pittsburgh are not being organized by Glenn Beck and his ilk nor being choreographed by Fox News. That's what concerns the criminal elite who will gather to further their agenda of economic slavery and put on a show of force against 'free speech.'

Free speech doesn't come easy.
IN THE weeks leading up to the Group of 20 economic summit of world leaders in Pittsburgh September 24 and 25, the mainstream media saturated the city with alarming stories of "violent" and "unruly" protesters.
But these stories also reassured residents that a slew of law enforcement agencies--local and state police, SWAT teams, the National Guard and the Secret Service--would ensure public order and protect private and public property throughout the city.
One question, however, didn't receive as much attention: who would protect the right to free speech?
Ahead of his arrival in Pittsburgh for the summit, President Barack Obama made it clear that he didn't value the opinions of protesters, anyway. "I was always a big believer...that focusing on concrete, local, immediate issues that have an impact on people's lives is what really makes a difference, and that having protests about abstractions [such] as global capitalism or something, generally, is not really going to make much of a difference," Obama said.
But if Obama thinks the demonstrations are irrelevant, his administration is going to great lengths to harass and intimidate them. The projected cost of the police presence--to include some 2,000 National Guard troops, 1,000 state troopers, 900 Pittsburgh police and perhaps thousands more police from nearby municipalities--is upward of $20 million.
The authorities will have helicopters, Humvees, prototypes of a new generation of top-of-the-line police cruisers--and specially outfitted police bicycles. "It ties in nicely with the whole green effort," said Chris Andrews, general manager of the military equipment contractor that donated the bikes.
Several buildings and sports fields belonging to the Pittsburgh public schools have been made available to law enforcement and military agencies to house personnel and provide landing pads for the helicopters.
But activists, on the other hand, have had to file numerous lawsuits to get city and state agencies to issue permits for peaceful protests and other activities. The city also put pressure on universities and other institutions to distance themselves from planned demonstrations, according to activists. {more}

The repression begins.....
Sitting here on the hill in Schenley Park I watch no less than 4 military helicopters constantly buzz the Pittsburgh Skyline. Police vans from Philadelphia and beyond patrol the streets of downtown creating a state of fear, a state of occupation. Over 4000 police, including 2000 national guard troops, some fresh from Iraq, are on call to ensure that Obama’s G20 party goes without a hitch.

Already the police have been going out of there way to create a state of fear before the summit starts. Seeds of Peace, a group that provides free food for activists, has been repeatedly harassed, their bus impounded, and a member arrested without reason. The Landslide Community Farm has also been raided and illegally searched by over 20 cops. No warrant was provided, the only reason given is that it was a matter of “national security.” Meanwhile the police raided several activist homes overnight, drawing guns on people, and towing cars. And after being told that the 3 Rivers Climate Convergence could leave tents setup overnight, low and behold, they have all disappeared by morning.
What is important to recognize is that this is not just a rogue Pittsburgh police force. Because the G20 has been declared a “National Security Event” the Secret Service is in charge of all police operations in relation to the G20. The Secret Service are Obama’s people. They answer to him. The preemptive repression on the streets of Pittsburgh is being done on Obama’s watch. Don’t forget that.

In an interview with the Pittsburgh Post, Obama said that protests are ineffective and that globalization is inevitable. So much for all his fiery campaign rhetoric about renegotiating NAFTA and other trade deals that have screwed workers and destroyed the environment. {more}

Pittsburgh is under 'house arrest'
Downtown banks and businesses have boarded up their windows and been forced to take out terrorism insurance... Our parks have become tent cities for police and protesters alike. The 3 rivers are shutdown by the Coast Guard and there are only three ways to access the city.... {more}

National security investigation? and lawsuits.....
The 16-page lawsuit focuses on three specific incidents involving the Seeds of Peace Collective, a group founded in 1986 to provide food and water to protesters. A bus, retrofitted to run on vegetable oil and solar power, that is used by the group to prepare meals, arrived in Pittsburgh from Montana on Sept. 13. On Friday, members of Seeds of Peace returned to where the bus had been parked and locked in a private driveway on Melwood Avenue in Oakland to find one police officer inside the bus and another in its doorway. The members asked what they were doing and told them they did not have consent to either enter or search the vehicle. The officers had the bus towed to the city's impound lot, and Michael Bowersox, its co-owner, had to pay $220 to get it back.

"This is the absolute worst police harassment I've experienced in 19 years," he said. "We have a long history of being committed to nonviolence, in the tradition of Gandhi and Martin Luther King."

The complaint also said that another bus operated by Everybody's Kitchen, which was parked in a private driveway in Bloomfield, was subjected to harassment, too. Yesterday afternoon, city officials told both buses they had until 6:30 p.m. to vacate the Sassafras Street property where they had been parked. Bob Johnson, an artist who leases the property, said a city building inspector approached the owner yesterday morning, cited him for several code violations and threatened to fine him $1,000 a day unless they moved.

The Seeds of Peace bus is equipped with enough supplies to make 5,000 meals, said Mr. Mark, 29, of Missoula, Mont. Contacts in Pittsburgh helped the food buses get permission to use the Sassafras Street property, which sits under the Bloomfield Bridge and is covered with scrap-metal sculptures. Mr. Johnson allowed police on the grounds on Sunday night when more than 30 police officers dressed in riot gear showed up at about 11:30 p.m., the lawsuit said.
