The Daily Tally of the Dead

5 U.S. Troops killed in Afghanistan on Saturday, scores of Afghans dead, tens of thousands of Americans take to the streets to protest most everything but war and reports are that our taxpayer money is indirectly arming those killing our misguided children called troops in the 'good war.'

Protesters will go home, talk of 'change' coming from all sides will continue, more will die for the profiteers of war... today, tomorrow and the next... and few will pay attention to the ever increasing tally of the dead.

What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?
Mahatma Gandhi (1869 - 1948), "Non-Violence in Peace and War

  1. Leave it to the thousands of brainwashed uneducated neanderthals out there to descend on DC in protest of a "socialist" president.

The corporate media and people's short memory sure help keep the two wars out of sight.

Seeing hundreds of protesters posing with a sign that read "We Love Glenn Beck" made me throw up a little bit in my mouth.

  2. Where were all the media when hundreds of thousands were protesting the wars during the reign of Bush the Younger?

They'd show a pic of some side street and claim only a few thousand showed up.
