Tonight's the Night

I'm mad, you're mad, we're all mad.

So what do we do about it. Let's go see 'Joe the Plumber.'

Tonight at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium the traveling tea party shill show gives us a opportunity to scream and shout about big government and their excesses. Heavily promoted by the local radio 'personalities,' you know, those who tease us with talk of the constitution and how we have our rights to demand a corporate dominated society of and by the rich. Lovers of all things war, that is the one issue that won't be talked about. All of their talk of 'let's now bomb Iran' will probably be put on the backburner but then again maybe not. Killing is our only profitable business and those running these 'tea party' events are all about profit.

Maybe I'm being a little harsh. The people attending tonight are our neighbors. Is it possible that they may be waking up just a little bit? Being asleep for the last eight years leaves one groggy and irritable so give them time to drink their coffee and clear their heads. Maybe?

The historical revisionists of the two party system seem to think we can vote our way back to prosperity and freedom from tyranny if we just give someone else a chance. Those 'someones' just happen to be a part of the establishment that led down this road to begin with so I'm left with little 'hope.'

I can almost hear the cheers as Joe "someone is paying me to do this" Plumber takes the stage tonight.

Wish I could be there but with hundreds of thousands expected for the show in a 10,000 seat venue, I'm afraid I may be left out in the rain. Oh well, maybe someone will post Joe's speech on youtube.
