Telling it straight up

No, not Obama, but a few folks who are tired of the deadly charade.

Dear Progressives; You're Right, It's Not "Obama's War" ... it's Yours.

Well, now the Party is rolling on.

It’s rolling over Afghanistan and soon it will be rolling over Pakistan and possibly even Iran and Venezuela. The festive street-party of an election night celebration has faded away leaving nothing but a hangover and the gut-wrenching realization that your wallet is missing (along with the house, the 401k, most of the constitution, and of course… your job).

Guess what people, you voted for the puppet the fascist regime wanted you to vote for; you did exactly what they expected you to do. Obama was the only one capable of providing cover for their imperialist agenda, their bloody and illegal creation of a ”New Middle East”. Even Clinton couldn’t have done that, much less McCain or Romney or Thompson.

At a time when the vast majority of the people of this nation were determined to change course, to repudiate the prior 8 years of illegality, immorality, and injustice, you “progressives” accomplished the impossible, you allowed it to continue; you elected it. This time around, the only difference is, the imperialists didn’t have to steal a presidential election in order to install their moral compass lacking puppet president, you elected him. You gladly gave Obama the office and in so doing, you gave them a clear mandate to continue one of the most inhuman foreign policy programs the world has ever seen.

The only difference between this administration and the previous one, is that even after being warned, you “progressives” and “least worst” advocates actually worked, cried, lied, justified, petitioned, marched, donated, and prayed to put it in place.

The Bush administration stole two elections to gain the power that they used like a hammer both overseas and here at home… you guys just handed it over to Obama, even AFTER knowing what we all know now.

So this is NOT Bush’s war… and it’s NOT Obama’s war… it’s YOUR war. You did this.

Now what are you going to do to fix it and exactly how long are you going to continue lying to yourselves before you do? The rest of the world has a right to know. {more - Scott Creighton}

Imperial Democrats Line Up For War

In a scene replicated all over the country, a small, dispirited crowd protested on Boston Common following Obama’s West Point declaration of more war on the unfortunate people of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Obama intends to out-Bush Bush on Af-Pak, which has finally thrown some cold water on his supporters.

The large printed placards ordered up for the demo called for an end to the war on Af-Pak, but only three scraggily handmade signs mentioned Obama. The speeches ordained by the organizers also made scant mention of Obama, with two exceptions, one from Vets Against the War and another from Military Families Speak Out. When one guy took advantage of an open mike, not readily yielded to him, to criticize both Obama and the antiwar leadership of United for Peace and Justice, “Progressive” Democrats of America, and their bedfellows, there was a quiet over the crowd. It was the only speech without at least token applause. One could only wonder where this “movement” was headed next.

So long as the war machine does not need the votes of congressmen with strong antiwar constituencies, these representatives are free to cast a vote to mollify their voters. But when the chips are down and every vote is needed, the charade is called to a halt and these counterfeit progressives cast their votes as instructed by Pelosi or whatever gauleiter happens to be in charge at the moment. Thus the empire rules by demanding loyalty to one of the two War Parties over the will of antiwar constituents.

As the late Eugene McCarthy pointed out in 1968 in the snows of New Hampshire, drawing on the words of Daniel Webster, wars of empire continue because the people’s “representatives” put loyalty to party over loyalty to the people and to principle. Thus the Vietnam War ground on, and thus does the U.S. empire’s deadly game in Central Asia continue. {more - John Walsh via Atheo News}

All the different ways to kill and move people around the globe, surely this is according to some plan

1. kill them overtly: bomb attacks, non-stop war in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan. goals: kill and terrorize, pollute the land, make the people leave

2. force people around the globe via immigration: asylum seekers, workers, globalization

3. destroy their culture with consumerism

4. cull through bio-engineering {more - A. Peasant}

When Blood is Their Argument: An Empire on Fire
You cannot achieve such goals, even in the slightest degree, with the foreign policies and military actions of the Bush and Obama administrations. You cannot invade countries, kills thousands upon thousands of innocent people, destroy societies, unleash and foment civil war, impose corrupt, violent, repressive regimes on shattered, suffering people and expect that this will somehow build "a better future" for your children and grandchildren -- much less for the children and grandchildren that you are murdering, brutalizing and traumatizing.

As we said here the other day, only an idiot could actually believe such things. And while our leaders may be moral nullities, they are not idiots. Therefore it is clear beyond all doubt and argument that the stated purposes for the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan are deliberate, knowing, well-considered lies. Thus all the earnest debates and commentaries on the relative efficacy of various policies aimed at achieving these completely specious goals are pointless. In the end, such diversionary "debates" only serve the causes of war, domination, profiteering and elite power that are, in the end, the only true goals of these campaigns. {more - Chris Floyd}

The Devil and Mr. Obama

Soc-cover

Well lookee here! An invite from my limey comrades to recap Barack Obama's first year in office. Well comrades, I can do this thing two ways. I can simply state that the great mocha hope turned out to be a Trojan horse for Wall Street and the Pentagon. Or I can lay in an all-night stock of tequila, limes and reefer and puke up the entire miserable tale like some 5,000 word tequila purged Congolese stomach worm. I have chosen to do the latter.

As you may know, Obama's public approval ratings are taking a beating. Millions of his former cult members have awakened with a splitting hangover to find their pockets turned inside out and eviction notices on the doors of their 4,000 square foot subprime mortgaged cardboard fuck boxes. Many who voted for Obama out of disgust for the Bush regime are now listening to the Republicans again on their car radios as they drive around looking for a suitable place to hide their vehicles from the repo man. Don't construe this as support for the GOP. It's just the standard ping ponging of disappointment and disgust that comes after the honeymoon is over with any administration. Most Americans' party affiliations are the same as they were when Bush was elected. After all, Obama did not get elected on a landslide by any means; he got 51% of the vote.

Right now his approval ratings are in the 40th percentile and would be headed for the basement of the league were it not for the residual effect of the Kool-Aid love fest a year ago. However, millions of American liberals remain faithful, and believe Obama will arise from the dead in the third year and ascend to glory. You will find them at Huffington Post.

Americans may be starting to get the big picture about politics, money and corporate power. But I doubt it. Given that most still believe the war on terrorism is real, and that terrorists always just happen to be found near gas and oil deposits, there is plenty of room left to blow more smoke up their asses. Especially considering how we are conditioned to go into blind fits of patriotism at the sight of the flag, an eagle, or the mention of "our heroes," even if the heroes happen to be killing and maiming Muslim babies at the moment. Patriotism is a cataract that blinds us to all national discrepancies. {more - Joe Bageant}

  1. Yes..Liberals may have voted for the lesser of two evils.. but what was the coice?

    Vote for a senile old war-hawk and an Ex-beauty queen who can't even read a newspaper?

    At least the promise of change sounded good? Even a broken clock is right 2 times a day?

    Now we know.. there is NO DIFFERENCE in either party. Both are Big Corporate, Pro Israel, anti middle class.

    Now what? Where to from here? Even if there is another chance to get to "somewhere else" from here, without blowing the friggin globe to pieces.

    I'd say the NWO pretty much has this package wrapped up and ready for delivery.
