|US and Israeli soldiers yuk it up during joint exercises|
|Not everyone is laughing|
The suspense will soon be over. One candidate will win, the other will roll over as designated.
The only constant will be the continued Israelization of the US, both in foreign policy and domestic militarization.
Dov Zakheim tries to reassure us that the neocons are not in charge of RomneyWorld. This is from the guy who never could account for over $2 trillion missing from the Pentagon and who is one of the prime suspects in the 9/11 coup d'état so forgive us for not taking the rabbi at his word.
Always trying to look on the bright side, even if Obama wins, Hillary Clinton keeps teasing us that she is leaving as Secretary of State. Her replacement most likely will be just as bad but at least we won't have to continuously hear her cackling in joy at all the dead she's left in her wake. Is she really going to try for a run at the White House in 2016? Let's hope that broomstick doesn't fly.
Hurricane Sandy was supposed to be Bronco Bomma's presidential moment and as Chris Christie praises him with his hands out, palms up for the money he wants from the feds, some in the media are going on about how Staten Island is being as neglected as a redheaded step-child. Staten Island is of course home of the now turned into a park Fresh Kills landfill.where the dust of the dead of 9/11 lies buried. It's not surprising that the feds are only reluctantly passing through there. Too many ghosts in that place.
When everyone I meet is trying to talk about the presidential election, I keep diverting the attention to some votes that really could count, prop 37 in California and the somewhat legalization of marijuana in Colorado, Oregon and Washington. Here where I live most aren't even aware of these votes and think they don't matter for us. Au contraire. Winning yes votes on these measures will reverberate throughout the country. But...those damn voting machines. Who knows?
Is it an odd coincidence that the Associated Press is running a feature on medical marijuana in Israel right here at the eve of the election? They even lead it off with...wait for it...the tale of someone who survived the holocaust by hiding in a barn full of chickens but now is doing well with pipe in hand in "his small room at his residence adorned with pictures of his deceased wife and figurines of chickens, which he collects because he sees them as a symbol of pain and hope from his years in hiding during the holocaust."
"Unlike in the United States and much of Europe, the issue inspires almost no controversy among the government and the country's leadership. Even influential senior rabbis do not voice any opposition to its spread, and secular Israelis have a liberal attitude on marijuana."
Tikkun Olam medical cannabis farm, near Safed, Israel.
"This is just the tip of the iceberg. It's the future," says Zach Klein, head of research and development at Tikun Olam, whose logo reads "This is God's doing, and it's marvelous in our eyes."
Since there are few coincidences in politics and with their media accomplices, this story may have some kind of hidden meaning. I'm not exactly sure what it is but it seems they are laughing in our face. The Israelis are always superior in social matters. Right?
Top honors for lyrics in this week's one off jam session goes to.....
I am the King of GMO
I am Monsanto
I say what you eat
I control what you grow
I am the law
I say what you smoke
I control what you grow
