(Reuters) - France's Louvre-Lens museum shut two galleries on Friday after a woman scribbled with a black marker pen on its star painting, Eugene Delacroix's "Liberty Leading the People".
Police were questioning a 28-year-old woman who was arrested on Thursday evening after writing "AE911" across a 30 cm section at the bottom of the work, a judicial source said.
The museum said an initial examination suggested the damage was superficial and the famous work could be easily restored.
It may be as this commenter opined...
Sounds like COINTELPRO. You don't deface a national monument unless you want to discredit what you are pretending to represent.
The BBC is reporting that the woman is 'unstable' and that is exactly how the meme of 'conspiracy theorists' goes these days. Ask legitimate questions and call out the lies of government and media must be an unstable condition. Say that a lunatic 9/11 truther defaced a world treasure brings the insinuation that all in the category of so called truthers are a danger to society.
Going on 12 years since 9/11 there is still no shortage of paid cover-up shills writing stories demonizing those who know the lies of that day. These articles are planted somewhere on the web virtually every day.
It is a sign that the desperation of madmen and murderers knows no time limit. They are still worried that their house of cards will soon fall...and rightfully so.
What's the old saying...Krishnamurti: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”
